I was actually in Utah about 6 years ago and I miss it. I took a nice bus tour with one of my cousins that took us to a few national parks and then we were in Salt Lake City for only 1 day. It was from a Chinese company that started out in California and then they bring you to a couple of different states. We did an 8 day tour and were in Utah for about 2 days. I really loved arches national park, monument valley and Bryce Canyon. We were also in Zion but we didn’t have enough time there with the tour. We were only allowed like 1 hour in Zion and most of that time we had to eat lunch so I wasn’t able to explore.
Utah is beautiful. My SO was an OTR truck driver and went through many many states, originally from CA. He says Utah is the most beautiful. I don’t doubt it. We have so many national parks, can’t beat the Mountain View lol.
@rayofmysunshine, oh ok that is interesting. For some reason I was thinking it was either a sewer canal or the great salt lake lol. That sounds awesome! I bet your husband saw some beautiful sceneries when he would drive through different states. I liked doing that when I was looking out the bus window during that tour. I liked passing by the desert areas. I really like how Arizona is and Colorado as well. For me Utah and Colorado are my favorite states so far. 😃 I wish I had a mountain or canyons over here. I would want to go there every weekend if I did. I am here in NYC lol. The only nature around me is a forest. You know what’s funny when I was with my cousin on the trip she wanted to go stay in Vegas and I was like hell no I rather stay out here (when we were in Utah.)I prefer the nature lol. I have Times Square already I don’t need another Times Square twice the size. That’s what I think of Vegas. 😂
The GSL is right above it. Not far at all. You should hike the Wasatch(mountains east of Salt Lake) in the spring when the flowers are blooming! I could tell you some amazing places to go. Fields of wild flowers, 100’s of different types too. It’s so beautiful in the spring. Rivers can be pretty scary from the run off.
I’ve never been to NYC, seems to busy for me. Vegas gives me anxiety haha. I’ve lived here my whole life, small town mentality. Salt lake has grown A LOT in the last decade. Really after the 2002 Olympics.
