As I said before... The racist people are usually one of these few things. Very low IQs, Incest or very insecure to where they feel " inferior " so they hate what they cannot be or compare to. We're all made in God's image so its ashame all the hate that still goes on today.

I do have to agree that educated people can also be racist. A lot of academia is filled with racist white men and unfortunately a lot got dismissed and discounted until recently when the field started to change. There's still a long way to go, though.
That tangent aside, racists do have a heavy dose of insecurity, so it's not like you were wrong.
