Managed to get to day 3 of lockdown before one of the kids has to self isolate after being in close contact with a positive covid case at school. The only risk to my family is coming from school, so what is the point in a lockdown with them still attending?!! Surely if this virus is as bad and deadly as they say, they would close them?!
The thing is, we put childrens education on the back burner for six months. We can't keep doing that. I know two teachers who both held classes over zoom, one primary, one secondary. It's not effective, many children don't join the call, many join but don't gain anything from the call. You can't see the children who are struggling to keep up, the ones who are struggling with poor mental health. There are children who were left to starve throughout that six months, children who were neglected.
Also, you close schools again and the majority of childcare will have to close again, meaning parents can't work... Keeping schools closed, is just not practical 😩
My children’s education was never on the back burner, we did 5 hours of home schooling every weekday. But I do see your point about the children that didn’t get that.
My opinion is actually as @karla22, said, I don’t believe the figures they are telling us, I don’t believe the severity they are feeding us. I know this virus is real and it does kill people, but we are only seeing what they want us to see. If they believed it was so severe and deadly, they would have no option but to close the schools.
It’s all about control, the collection of everyone’s DNA, and funding a vaccine which may not be necessary. The chief scientific advisor has shares worth £600,000 in GSK who has been contracted to make the vaccine. Massive conflict of interest that he didn’t want to be made public. They are all corrupt and only out for themselves. I refuse to believe everything that comes from the mainstream media, they don’t even report on all the people that are out there trying to fight for our human rights to be restored.
As it’s going, the “cure” will be worse than the cause. Cancers, heart diseases, suicides, domestic violence are all taking a back seat. Plus the massive impact it’s had on the economy.
If my kids are safe enough to go to school with a load of random people then it’s safe enough to see my family. If he wants it to be taken seriously it would need to be a lockdown like it was in March.
@kedwards85 I agree that if it's ok to send your child to school to mix with many children (there is 20 in Lexi's class) then I'm sure it would be safer to go to a families house indoors and not mixing with anyone else. I personally would rather go to my mum and sisters house than go to a restaurant for dinner with them where I would be closer to others.. xx
That's the thing I don't get.. they want to do a lockdown but most germs come from school but they won't close them. When I have looked at the statistics covid is low down on the list of causes of death. Dementia and heart attacks etc are top of the list so in my opinion I think most of it is bullshit with the figures. They are classing people who had covid but didn't die of it x
Because its not...
