So some offices do a 1 hour and 3 hour if you fail the 1 hour. However some like yours (it sounds like) only offers a 2 hour test. If you fail they treat you as if you have GD. That’s why they didn’t schedule a retest.
ETA they did only a 2 hour with the ob I saw with my son and she explained to me why. Most women fail the 1 hour only to be tortured with the 3 hour and a lot pass the 3 hour. So just to make it easier they do the 2 only.

I had GD with my baby #2. I had to take a 4hr nutritional class for GD. Baby and I were monitored more closely, I had more ultrasounds. I was able to control it with diet alone, but there are meds that they will give if needed.

Fast before taking that 2 hour and take it early in the morning drink plenty of water

To have to takr another, longer one. If you fail that, they'll start monitoring you for gestational diabetes and other issues associated with that.
