Does anyone else give gifts to all their nieces and nephews for Christmas? In my family we do( i have 11 in total) and let me tell you its sooo stressful finding something they each like.
Yes we do, between my husband and I we have a total of 6 nephews (our daughter is the only girl on both sides of the family) and we buy 1 present for each nephew.
However, when I was a kid my parents did things differently. I have 16 cousins on my mother's side. So all my aunts and uncles would put all the kids names in a hat and pull out as many names as children they had.
For example one of my aunt's has 3 kids, she would pull 3 names out of the hat and buy the kids whose name she pulled Christmas presents. Then all my aunts and uncles would pull names until every child's name was picked. This way all of the kids received a present but nobody was on the hook for buying gifts for all 16 kids.
I like that idea. Maybe next year lol. I already bought gifts for half the kids.
Nothin lol they don’t buy my kids shit so I’ll return the favor plus most ppl in my family’s never met my kids 😂
Yes, but I keep it simple and age appropriate. If they're between 0-5, a book and playdoh is enough. 5-10, it's markers, a colouring book and chocolate. 10-13, STEM stuff (like a microscope or building a robot set) 13+ I just give a gift card or money.
ETA: My husband and I buy stuff on sale throughout the year and save it for Christmas. The STEM stuff tends to be expensive around the holidays, so we buy those around summer time when they're cheaper.
I'm the one with more kids and they are lucky if they get something from family members I don't expect them too
Yes 😑 well technically we just give the the 5 older ones $50 each then the little ones get them a big toy.
