So now I'm Anemic and have no iron in my body pretty much. They want to send me to get an upper endoscopy done to make sure I'm not bleeding internally so they can rule that out. Also send me to a hematologist. They want me to get an iron infusion but I said he'll no because of the skin staining that can happen and anaphylactic shock. So it's back to the evil iron pills that make me super constipated, like when I was pregnant. Guess I will take some metamucil capsules, colace and vitamin C. I still believe it's from my heavy periods I've been having since having kids and now it finally caught up to me and depleted me of all my iron. I'm kinda scared. Any one get an endoscopy done??

Sounds like you're going through some nerve-wracking stuff. I've had quite a few endoscopies. I think the worst part of it is the anxiety leading up to the procedure. But its a pretty simple and fast process, and you're asleep through the whole thing. The only pain afterward is a sore throat. Cough drops help.

Oh geez, I hope you’re able to get your iron levels back to normal soon. I had one done years ago. It goes by very quickly. You won’t feel any pain.

A lot of things are a chain reaction once the iron goes low. I know a lot of people who have had endoscopes and they are mostly just mentally scary. They use a throat numbing spray and afterward you have a minor sore throat for a few days. The wait is worse than the procedure. <3

now I just might wait and go to a hematologist first cuz that's what everyone's saying is the most important right now I can't keep taking time off of work though it's what sucks we're having childcare issues because of COVID.I'm afraid my husband and I are going to lose our jobs we've taken off so much in the past couple months
