Any opinions about moving to Ohio?
I have two kids and we need space and cheaper housing and Ohio looks great for that.
Any opinions about housing and finding work in Ohio?
What area are you looking at? Bigger cities like Columbus, Akron, Cleveland, and Cincinnati are going to have more job opportunities but also more commute and housing.
I love living in Ohio, it has a low cost of living (probably practically free compared to Philly), it is safe, has pretty good infrastructure, decent taxes, etc. You can own a 2-3 bedroom home in most areas for 75k or less, a lot less in some areas, and have a decent car, a boat or RV, and not work more than 40 hours a week to do it. A family can live on one salary.
We are starting online businesses so my husband can stay home but just wanted to make sure if push comes to shove he can get a job while I work out the online stuff.
We saw houses in akron and Cleveland so far.
What do you mean bigger commute?
But we want to buy a house in the near future .
Also you brought up car are we able to get a cheap car out there we dont have one right now.
@jaixi I just meant a longer commute into a bigger city. When covid isn't going on, ohio isn't hard to get a job in. There's a lot of culture and cool stuff in Akron. The Summit is an amazing radio station that is public radio and they get a ton of famous acts in their studio.

his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
