Tinley’s ear is just getting worse 😭.
They gave her amoxicillin, but that’s it.
Her pediatrician told me that if she got a fever to bring her in or take her to the ER.
She had a fever of 101 last night and they literally just gave her Motrin and sent her home. 🙄.
I hate seeing her in so much pain, and not sleeping.
I've never seen anything like this before! Not right for an ear infection to affect the outside of the ear like this or to crawl up the scalp!!! Have you spoken to her ped???
@brittanystewart304 This looks like an unusual situation to me. I'm curious to know what is really going on. Hope she gets the comfort she needs. Ice it and give her a Benedryl to see if that helps her. If nothing more it will help her rest better, maybe even sleep. Ibuprofen and/or Tylenol for pain alternate schedule to keep the pain down. Check the bootleg for proper dosing and time frames. I'm so sorry!

@xryztalroze, it’s not as red today, but it has a purple tint to it and it has spread pretty far out on her cheek.

I think you should maybe get a second opinion, especially if it’s spreading and she’s in so much pain. Or get her back into her pedi instead of ER

It looks like an allergic reaction. Did she get a bug bite or bee sting maybe?

It looks like it's spread to the side of her face, it's hard to tell in the angle. None of the doctors checked the inside of her ear? I really do hope this passes quickly, or someone figures out what's going on

@wittyusername, yeah. The Er doctor said it was just an ear infection, but she has kept ear infections since she was about 1. Nothing like this has ever happened and hers would get so bad that there would be drainage. So I honestly don’t know what is going on.

What did they say was wrong with her ear? My son was on ear drops last month and amoxicillian and pain meds and heat compress for 4 days before he started feeling better

They told me that they aren’t really sure.
But it’s spreading up her head and now she won’t let me fix her hair. She screams and cries.

@brittanystewart304 I'm so sorry she is in so much pain. I would be calling and have her seen again. But try a warm compress it helped my son with the pain and it relaxed him enough he could rest.

Are you giving her pain meds also? Just to take the edge off until the antibiotics work? How long has she been taking amox?
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

Dad's FB Video!! Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
So Leah had a little fever yesterday after her shots and this morning 😔😔😔😔 gave her medicine.. if she still has a fever off to the ER

It looks like dermatitis. Ask the pediatrician for a referral to a dermatologist
