Why do people think your job defines who you are ? I'm tired of what you do for a living question ....I live thats what I do !!!!
Yes exactly everything you said I couldnt really put it in worlds I feel like I'm in control of what's gonna happen now but Greatful to God kost the time for everything he done and still doing
@verguinia, lol yeah that can get very annoying and rude. That isn’t fair for people to judge someone because of their job. It only sounds good when someone is professional like a doctor or something lol but if you say you work in McDonald’s, I can only imagine how rude the response would be. 🤦🏻♀️😂
Yesss I worked in kennedy fried chicken before and it's hard the customers treat you bad too ontop of it
Lmao yes sometimes that question can get old fast, especially in the dating world. That was very annoying when I heard that before. When I was a cashier that time and worked for a supermarket, the guy I was dating was such an ass. He basically said oh so you’re a cashier. So you are good with putting food in bags? The way he said it was extremely sarcastic and I got the feeling that he thought I was beneath him. That was just so annoying lol.
Defenalty what I was thinking I'm a catering lady so I'm good at holding food !!! Lol I saw the big difference because I was a teacher assistant before and it was oh your so sweet work with kids awww now it's like oh you deal with food you didnt go to college always follows after and what you want to go for! Too much
I think as a question it’s definitely not meant to offend. It’s a topic of conversation and working is what a lot of people spend the majority of their time doing. Just like where you are from doesn’t define you but I wouldn’t take it offense if someone were to ask me that either. Maybe it would be helpful to try and look at it as nice that someone is taking an interest in your life. If someone puts you down for what you do, that’s a different story!
True ! Thanks I guess because I'm sad I cant work and make money I get offended right now
My job is an integral part of who I am. I work in the mental health field, and we help others. I get immense satisfaction from the fact that I get to help others every single day I’m at work.
I do understand where you’re coming from. A job shouldn’t be your be all end all, but it can certainly be an important part of who you are.
@verguinia, I didn’t say this to be right or prove a point, simply to share from a different perspective. You have every right to your feelings and needing to vent them, too. 💜
I’m sorry if I came off as snippy at all. We had to put our beloved dog down exactly one week ago, and I am not doing okay 😭💔
@scruffy.nerf.herder, I agree with everything you said. My job is a big part of who I am and speaks to many aspects of my personality. When people assume I’m lucky or have had everything handed to me to get where I am, it is insulting and dismissive of my accomplishments. (One of my husband’s cousins does this to us often, so it is a sensitive topic for me!)
@verguinia, I can understand why the question might stir up some feelings for you. I don’t think it’s a question that’s meant to offend or make people feel bad, but sometimes it can. Your feelings are valid, too.
Yes. People are to much some times shit some time you just doing what you have to do for now. Pay a lil pay a lot as long as you trying
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?
What do YOU judge
Clearly, no one is a perfect parent nor do we know everything. But what’s something you judge a parent off of or just irks you?
starbucks
What do you get?

What Do You Mommy Of Multiples Think Of This Idea? I Am Not A Mommy Of Multiples Just A Single Baby
It’s a really rough time for you right now. I’m sure id feel on edge if someone asked me that and I was in your shoes. Without context it’s hard to know how this person asked you I know that question “what do you do for a living?” Is kind of a way to start a conversation. I started asking people a long time ago “So are you working anywhere?” And usually it opens up for more dialogue without the potential of stirring up feelings w some people. To be honest idk why I started asking that, maybe it’s when I became a stay at home mom🤔
Try to keep you head up hun❤️ I know you love your girls and you’re trying!!!!
