How many of you had the COVID-19 test done before you went into labor or what not? Does it hurt? How does it work and what I mean is what’s the process of getting it done before baby is born? If I’m making any sense.

I had the test done a few days before I went into labour. It was a throat swab test and the nurse swabbed the back of my throat a couple times until I felt like gagging. Then took the sample to send it away.
They didnt make me do a test because I was close to delivering though. My daughter got sick and they had to rule out covid for the family. It was just an unlucky coincidence that it was so close to my due date.
The results came back negative after I gave birth to my son lol.
