@icebergahead, I was just remembering when I asked an old Japanese chef in a restaurant, how does he make the sushi because I want to learn. He said that it is his secret and that he won’t give it away. He said other wise he will not be a master chef lol. He made the sushi really good to. It was a place i went to in downtown Manhattan a few years ago.

I should try making sushi again! I have to buy the special wrapping thing for the seaweed and rice.
Oh, neat! I always have those on hand. Sometimes I put them with my soups or plain rice😍
@icebergahead, what he does???? Oh man you are lucky! 😍 I tried making my own sushi once and I didn’t have the patience to make the rice myself, so I bought rice ready from a Chinese restaurant. When I tried rolling up the rice with the seaweed and everything, it broke in pieces. 😂
@icebergahead I have kimbap on my meal plan. Trying to settle on easy to obtain fillings. Suggestions?
@two.tiny.texans, I like going to a local Korean or Asian shop. You’ll find what you need most of the time than regular marts.
I miss sushi. Thank god the Japanese restaurants opened up again here this month. I was missing it like crazy these last few months lol. I finally had some about a week ago. I want to get some again soon.
I sent a message to my husband.....needless to say he did NOT show up with sushi!!😤
I have never had sushi. Good sushi just really wasn't a thing in rural Ohio until recently.
