Anyone have a kid with MILK ALLERGY? I'd like to figure out if there are other nutritious milk substitutes to wean my baby into soon. He's breastfed at the moment and when I drink any whole milk he'll have tummy problems for a few days, if I drink horizon milk he'll have a much milder reaction. I've tried lactose free, which he does good with. But I'd like a whole alternative milk to actually have him drink it himself. Need to start weaning sooner since I have to leave for a training within the next month. He'll be a year in July so I'd be weaning him anyway. Any specific milk brand work out for your little ones?

We drink soy milk because we’re vegetarian and my kids’ pediatrician is fine with it

Both my younger boys could only drink almond milk. They love it.
Almond Milk,Coconut Milk, maybe a lactose milk
Has he been diagnosed with a dairy allergy? We used soy milk to supplement my breast milk. I bf until she was just shy of 3. Between water and the soy milk(maybe once every few days) she was fine. Doctors push milk because it has a lot of nutrients but if the child is getting that from other parts of their diets then they don't need milk. My daughter was basically a vegan until 4 because she had so many allergies

That's so good, how do you meal plan for a one year old as you start to introduce different foods? And how much of a serving size?
@dsegu895, I kind of let them take the lead. I did baby led weaning with both so they’ve basically eaten what I eat since they were 6 months. Lots of veggies and rice and beans since we’re Mexican lol
My daughter has a milk allergy. We used soy for a few months until I cut it out completely. they don’t need whole milk as long as they are getting their nutrients and vitamins in other foods/substitutes.
What other foods could I give him too as far as no meats? My son is a different world from my girls. They are everything and drank everything, but I don't really know what to give him that'll sit well with his tummy.
My daughter is currently outgrowing her allergy but when we switched from formula she went on Silk Almond milk and loved it
I may try almond milk. I didn't have this happen with my daughters, so it's very new to me.
