Mints are easy to grow- SAID liars!
Mints have been a challenge. Anyone else can share some tips?
Really because my mint took over my garden and survived winter 😂
So easy for us. It needs a little shade though to do best. But it pretty much grows without fuss. We have chocolate mint. It's really great for a mint tea and cooking with!!!
What do you use chocolate mint for? We've only chewed it lol
@scidg3 We make tea out of it and cook into difference dishes. It makes for a great spread with garlic, salt, pepper, and oil also. We use it in salads and sandwiches. Many more but that's what I can think of.
@icebergahead Ok, I'm so sorry. I have more info from DH now. Here it is: Mint needs to be shaded when freshly potted, but once the roots take it can go into full sunlight. As long as you keep it plenty moist. If you don't use the right amount of water it will die quickly. Keep the soil moist at all times without making it saturated. So water daily. Don't use fertilizer just make sure to use rich soil. Apparently mint doesn't like fertilizer. He says that he finds the chocolate mint we have right now to be the best for us and most versatile for use. He said to make sure you don't clip it to the base. Clip it at the length you want and it will branch out from there kind of like rosemary. Hope this helps!
I planted some in shade once and my parents were over it cause it took over! It was shady, I never did anything to it. Chocolate mint!!

Starting my day with this yummy lemon water and mint. 😊
are bumbo seats worth it thinking of buying this used mint colored one for 12 bucks?
For me, I just plant it in the ground and forget it. It grows like crazy usually. Are you trying it in containers? I think it uses up a lot of water.
