Oh jeez... did I like her post? I dont think I did... I stopped reading at sherriff and kept scrolling 🤭 can I just say thank you @pie. for posting and educating us all on what's going on. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I'm learning lots and wish I knew what black people go through daily. I'm a teacher and tried teaching about the racism black people face during black history month once and I got a phone call from a parent telling me not to teach her kids that some people have it easier and some don't... I had to cancel my lessons.

I do not give a single fuck if your husband is a good cop, if your brother is a good cop, if your neighbor is a good cop etc. STOP TELLING US THIS. We KNOW not all cops are bad. We KNOW that. Tell your husband the black man he pulled over for failing to signal is not a reason to fear for his life. Tell your brother its a phone in the black mans hand not a gun and to look closer before he gets trigger happy. Tell your fucking neighbor that not all black people are fucking threats. TELL THEM IT IS NOT OKAY TO JUST KILL A BLACK PERSON FOR THE HELL OF IT. Tell them to hold the bad cops accountable!

My husband said something similar to this last night. There are other methods to restrain or disarm a person before using lethal force of any kind.

Thank you @pie and I’m sorry if there was any misunderstanding about it yesterday. I feel so bad that I liked that post. I thought that she meant cops should be respected too and how not all are bad. That was a shock when she came out left field like that with her real meaning behind the post. She didn’t care what happened to Floyd and basically made it that African Americans are whining about it. She doesn’t get why everyone is upset. She cannot understand it and never will. We don’t know if her husband who’s a cop has the same thought process but it is possible. 😩
I didn’t see when she wrote anything on that post. I wrote a few comments on that post. I thought that her post was about how her husband is a cop and that not all are bad. The post was deleted after I commented a few times so I didn’t get to see any comments after mine but I did see when someone uploaded her comment on another post. I was appalled by what she wrote. I thought at first that she posted with better intentions but she didn’t. She clearly was in the wrong. I feel silly now that I tried to say that cops should be respected too. My message was all people should be treated equally. I feel silly now. If cops and their wives have those kind of thoughts, then this country will never move forward and better things won’t come if people are gonna stay closed minded like that. 🤦🏻♀️ Then it will always be police having power over people and people never being able to fight for their rights.

@pie So are you disagreeing with me or the original post? I am totally against what just happened and stand with you in that. But I know many police officers of many ethnicities and the truth is there ARE good and bad. For us to have justice the bad ones need removed.
i agree with you but i disagree with the timing and intentions behind the original post. Everyone knows not all cops are bad and I don’t understand why people are telling us that constantly. I commented more on this below. I dont want to just parrot what i said lol
