So here we are, I just received the paperwork for my son. And soon he will get his autism evaluation. June 2nd to be exact! It's been a struggle for me as a parent, and althought I fought hard to get to this moment.. I still found myself crying because I'm scared. Nothing will ever change my love for my son, not even a diagnosis. I'm allowing myself to feel this, to cry if I need too and process it the best way I know how. At the end of the day, Charlie is a sweet boy, loving, caring, stubborn, determined..hes my son, my love, my whole entire life. And wherever this journey leads us, his mama, his papa, his big sister and his whole family will always be there to catch him if he ever falls. Heres to our journey my handsome boy. I love you, we love you with all the beats of our heart❤
@watz I feel like I dont say this enough, you have been my angel in this journey honestly. My brothers sister told me. You guys are done having kids right because if hes diagnosed autistic it's going to be hard work. Side note: she has no kids, nor wants any. And then said and what if your next is autistic too. Do you really want to risk that? And my response was that doesnt mean I shouldn't have anymore kids, I want to give my son a little brother or another sister same for my daughter. I know it's going to be hard, but I know my son and daughter would love atleast one more sibling. I know their will be chances of having a child with autism if my sons gets diagnosed. But that will never stop me from having another baby. In that moment I thought of you and all the amazing advice and information you have given me through out this journey to getting my son diagnosed. And I was able to school her about autism! It made me mad at first but then I realized I will get alot of idiot people that will do what she did..and I calmed myself down. All because of what you have told me about autism..I'm still scared, but I know it will okay. And for that I am so damn thankful. You got me through some tough times, thank you guiding me and for understanding me. I truly appreciate you!!
@lezlie527 awe that's very kind of you to say, thank you. I'm a firm believer that we autism moms need to stick together.
This message is so sweet to your son.. I only wish you the best in the future and remember you are a strong mommy❤️💕💋♥️
Thank you very much, I appreciate your kind and supportive words. God bless you💕
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...

This is my son Walter. Today is his birthday. He would have been five. This picture was taken when he was 16 days old. He was my first child and my only son (I now have 3 girls). He passed away the next day after this picture from congenital heart failure. It was a miracle that he lived passed 12 weeks gestation because of how severe his heart defects were. I miss him so much, I can't believe it's been 5 years. It still hurts so bad. I don't talk about him a lot out loud because I end up bawling...
I feel so bad for my baby boy he did not want to go with his father tonight clung on to my mom and cried as soon as father picked him up and then his father did nothing to console him. He didn’t hug, kiss, pat nothing. No love what so ever ( like usual) I feel so guilty, like that breaks my heart my mom was crying when she told me cause she said it was awful and his father was so cold like he always is toward him and she felt so bad to send him off where he didn’t want to go 💔😥 but it’s like wha...
i’m honestly so upset. today was my boyfriend & i’s anniversary & i thought we would spend the whole day together but he decided to leave to go be with his friends. am i selfish for wanting him the whole day? :/
I'm an autism mom myself, and I will tell you, that in the beginning of a diagnosis it is very scary. But I promise you that it gets easier and you will realize that you and your child are capable of more than you ever thought possible.
