What are some things you do to manage your anxiety?
It has been creeping up recently even when I’m not thinking of anything that could cause it. The physical symptoms my anxiety give me are ruining my days. I still haven’t gotten any call from a therapist. Nothing. I’ve been journaling. CBT flash cards. I just want to cry. My anxiety hadn’t ever been this bad. All thanks to this damn virus 🙄

I take medication. Have you called a psychiatrist?

I use to self medicate, and have also been prescribed Xanax and lorazepam. Now I just pray and read God's word! That's where my peace and strength comes from! God alone can take away all worries you just have to believe and trust him!

@massgirl, @lifewithlynnieandwill88, I was given lorazepam for when it’s bad but don’t like using it. I’m trying to find ways to calm down without medication. I’ve been able to do it the past 10 years but this pandemic has made it worse. I feel like I’m lost and stuck in my anxiety. I called and was able to get a phone appointment with a new therapist today. Hoping it helps.

Even if you go on a daily medication for just the summer you'd probably be better off. From what you post constantly it seems like you're past the point of taking something as needed. A psychiatrist would probably help you a lot better alongside a therapist.

my psychiatrist is who prescribed the lorazepam. He said that is best fit for me. And I’m scared to try any other meds because of how my body reacted to the sertraline. I’m just stuck in a pickle. This past month was hell for me. I was told it would take a while for me to get my anxiety under control because of how bad it was. It takes time. I just wish I could speed up that time.

I have a cabinet full of xanex lorazepam and Valium but I don’t take them I just try to stay busy. Idk why my dr keeps calling them in I literally have hundreds 😬 they keep increasing the doses and I’m like hey I don’t take them though lol unless it’s a emergency. But usually going outside a lot helps me with anxiety

I have lorazepam and don’t take them either. I don’t want to take any medication. I know I can shake this off. It’s just hard right now. I’m about to step foot outside now for some fresh air

Have you tried CBD? I’ve been having trouble falling asleep at night because of anxiety so my husband got me some 1:1 CBD:THC pills and they help so much! A friend of his has his own CBD business and manufactures all of his own products. A lot of people use them for anxiety. I can send you the link. I don’t think the 1:1 pills are on the website, they’re sort of on his “secret” menu but maybe you can try some of the tinctures for now.

Yes. We have the hemp flowers and an oil pen. I don’t use them nearly as much as I should. I know it helped when I did them. I never heard of pill versions tho.

I exercise, walking/running/strength training/there’s so many different kinds for all levels of fitness that you can do right at home. I try to get outside in the sun everyday. I’ve started doing yoga a few weeks ago and I’m loving it. Getting up and moving to me has been the best medicine. I’ve taken meds in the past and it helped in the moment but not in the long run.

I’m guna start doing that. I got out today and it’s crazy how much just the sun and fresh air alone helps.
