Can I hear anyone’s experience with Zoloft? My doctor just prescribed me Zoloft to deal with my anxiety. I’m very nervous to be on meds, I’ve never been on any type of meds like this.
@oggirl.mom omg I was mad when I told my new Drs nurse after moving that I stopped taking it and the reason. She got SO snobby at me and when the Dr came in she really tried saying that I stopped taking them and needed to stay on the same meds. You could tell that nobody speaks up for themselves when I corrected her and told my Dr that I refuse to get back on them and if they gave me any issues I'd go find a new Dr. Her eyes bugged out of her head. I'm so glad I see a psychiatrist now and don't have to deal with dumb ass nurses.
Oh wow. That’s super scary. That’s one of my fears with taking it.
@oggirl.mom I take effexor daily and Clonazepam as needed.
I took 200mg. It curbed my anxiety a lot. It didn’t make me tired at all. In the beginning it did make me have minor shakes but they went away after a week. I was on it for ten years. It does need 4-6 weeks to take full effect. Just know that. I am no longer on it for various reasons but I miss it lol.
Oh that’s good to know about the shakes!!! My doctor didn’t really go over side effects so I’m not real sure what to look out for
I was on 150mg for about a year, it took about 3 months after starting that dose for me to feel any difference (which can be normal for any SSRI but it was frustrating). It made me feel numb. I didn’t feel sad or anxious, but I also couldn’t feel happiness or anything else. Also my sex drive was below 0. But again, completely normal for SSRI’s. Withdrawal after stopping almost put me into the psych hospital. I don’t recommend it, but I’ve had similar experiences with any SSRI I’ve tried so I can’t really recommend any of them.
Omg that’s scary I’m so sorry that happened. I’m so nervous to take it
I’ve been on it now for about 2-3 months and I am doing a lot better
Oh good! I’m glad it’s helping you!!! I’m really hoping it helps. I’ve always been afraid to take meds
I’ve had it didn’t help me made me worse I was way more mopey and I just quit taking it
@kush_queen420, I’m definitely going to try it out. I should be getting it in the mail in a few days. I’m so sick of feeling this way.
@llcoolkay, awe well I’m sorry hun I go threw it too and if u need a ear I’m hear hope it helps a little atleast
I was prescribed it for PPD. I was on a pretty low dose, 50 mg. I took it in the evening/after dinner just in case it made me sleepy. It helped quite a bit, and I took it for maybe 9 months to a year, can’t quite remember. No negative side effects for me.
Oh that’s great. I’m really hoping it helps me. I’m literally to the point of thinking I’m dying every single day.
@llcoolkay, I’m sorry to hear that hun 😔 I hope it is helpful for you.
@llcoolkay Xanax, but I stopped taking it like 10 years ago. CBD and THC help some now if I can get the dosage right
@two.tiny.texans, I tried CBD for a little whole and it helped for a few months and then it stopped helping. I mixed in a little bit of THC but I’m not a huge fan of how THC makes me feel.
Zoloft..?..
Any ladies on here that are taking or have previously taken Zoloft?
Have any of you taken Sertraline/ Zoloft for their anxiety?
My therapist wants me to try it out but I’m scared of the side effects.
So I took my meds at like 9pm last night I woke up at 2:45am with my breast killing me... begging that I took meds should I keep the milk I pumped??
Have any of you ladies taken Zoloft!? What was the good and bad with it?
so obviously Zoloft is not a good anxiety med at almost 30 weeks it affects me the same way as Prozac it makes me angry then high but on a good note the doctors think I might be further than 30 weeks
I was on it after I had my oldest and was up to 200mg and I did very well on it. Then my body completely rejected it when I was pregnant. I got back on it at a small dose and got suicidal. Made my anxiety so much worse also. Now I'm not even on a ssri and got switched to a snri.
