Hi everyone, look for some advice I've been taking amoxicillin for a infection from my tooth since yesterday tea time I've only just had my 4th tablet before and these have appeared like a hive looking rash it's only started since taking amoxicillin. I've uploaded pictures to see what yous think, I'm also 12/13 weeks pregnant. 500mg dosage of amoxicillin

Yeah I've had it before the amoxicillin for the same thing and different things in the past and I've never had this before I'm putting it down to the amoxicillin and being pregnant as it's the only thing that's different was just on right leg it's now appeared on my left leg at the same spot as right leg not sure what to do. Xx
@becijayne944 i stopped taking mine and was prescribed something else, but i know that you struggled to get those, maybe try taking an antihistamine x
It's really itchy and it's only since I've been taking the amoxicillin it's on the top of my right leg and I've had a look at the side effects and seen that's hives and rashes is on it, I just wanted other people's opinions on what they thought it might be, as you can get them on your arms hands feet and legs, but they can move to different areas, x
Also, I think a side effect of amoxicillin is a “rash” as I’ve just googled but then it says other serious side effects & “hives & rashes” is on that list x
Hives possibly? I can’t take anything with penicillin in it due to allergy, and this happened to me and my neck and face swelt up too xxx
Ive had amoxicillin before though and this is the first time it's happened, not sure if your body can just become allergic to it? first time I've took it while being pregnant though, xx
@becijayne944, it is strange my daughter was really unwell about a year ago with tonsillitis . I got up at 2am to get her medicine and I gave her nurofeon instead of calpol. She’s had it before and the next day she was covered in hives. I took her to doctor but like 20 mins after I gave her the nurofeon her skin was itching badly. The doctor gave us allergy medication because at the Time I didn’t think it was nurofeon. She sprained her ankle a couple months later and the hospital gave her calpol and nurofeon and the same thing happened again lol. So narrowed it down to that. She’s also took a reaction this year to something and no idea what it could be xxx
@cheryl123 the only thing that's I've done different is take amoxicillin am going to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse all just have to ring 111 for advice again, as my doctors are shut with it being bank holiday, xx
Could they not be heat/sweat rash?

I've just realized that you ladies are the only slightly positive female relationships in my life.
So my daughters pedi said to give my lo 6ml of amoxicillin 2 times a day she’s a doc and I’m sure it’s fine but I’ve never heard of this before ? She’s only 6 weeks

I've taken amoxicillin numerous times for water infections, then when i was pregnant i started having reactions so I'm not allowed it anymore, so as far as i know you can just become allergic to stuff.. also since havin kids im now allergic to dogs lol xx
