That’s a good idea. I wonder if he would like his head to be elevated. I’ll try that tonight. He slept fine after he finally fell asleep. He just would not lay there to fall asleep

My son slept in a swing till he was like 7 months. The transition was hard. But pack it up and put it away so you have no choice but to use the crib. It was a long 2 days but after that he loved his crib.

Yeah I put it away so I wouldn’t be tempted to put him in it lol. After he fell asleep he slept fine In it and only woke up twice which he does every night anyway

Your going to have hell lmao, one he’s slept in a sitting up confined space to now a open space flat. I’ll pray for you 😂

@mommakaylax3, ugh. I refuse to let him sleep in my bed lol. He used to sleep in a bassinet and then one night I let him sleep in the rock n play and he slept so good my dumbass let him stay in it

@llcoolkay, don’t feel bad just keep trying. My youngest I’ve done a large bassinet I refuse to have another kids in my bed lol.

@mommakaylax3, lmao yeah I could never sleep with them lol. Charley slept in the rock n play until she was over a year old but she transitioned so easily

Wait, your one year old is in a rock n play? How does he fit and how does he not fall forward? It just seems so unsafe at that age. I stopped using it at 3 months with my daughter and 5 months with my son. So what is he not liking about the crib?

Yep he’s still in it. He’s just now starting to sit up in it, that’s why I want to get him out now. As far as the crib he just starts to roll around and gets made and cries. Or stands up and cries

@llcoolkay, wow I’m surprised he lasted this long. What I did when I transitioned my son at 5 months was I rolled some blankets and put them on either side of him in the crib so he’d feel something next to him. I put a crib wedge under his head to give him a little incline. Then I rolled a blanket under his butt to keep him from sliding down. But he was immobile at that age and stayed there. Once he started rolling around 7 months I removed the rolled blankets and the crib wedge. He did pretty good. Not really sure about a 12 month old since he can roll, sit and stand. You’ll have to just keep laying him back down I guess. Give him a comfort item like a rag or blanket.

@2sweetie, I know I wish I hadn’t waited this long. He finally fell asleep in my arms so I put him in the crib and he’s stayed asleep so far 🤞🏻

My son hated laying flat, I put a pillow under the crib mattress to elevate his head and that helped a lot. You’re probably in for a few rough nights, but stay strong and don’t give it.
