Did anyone else file their taxes with Turbotax that received a debit card through them & is trying to get on the app to see if their stimulus check hit??? I've tried the app & the website & it seems like they're both down plus the phone lines are busy 😒

When I filed with Turbotax this year I received a debit card with my tax refund amount on it from them therefore when I receive the stimulus check, it will be put on the turbotax card...i never gave them my bank info. That's why I'm having issues 😩
@raisingbabes, It shouldn't automatically go on that card though. Turbo Tax has nothing to do with the stimulus. If you didn't have an account that you direct depostied your refund in, Turbo Tax, H&R....all those places offer their version of a card/account for you. It's like a prepaid credit card. I do BELIEVE, that if you want it to go to that same card/account you have to get on the horrible IRS website and enter that account info. Otherwise, I THINK, they just send out a paper check. This is how I've understood it to be working.
@raisingbabes, We have direct deposit, so I haven't been worried about it. I figured it will EVENTUALLY come at some point! I mean, it HAS to....right? Haha! I haven't bothered checkin up on the website and all that crap. I do NOT have the patience! I'll just wait til I get a notification from my bank that a deposit is pending. Lol!
You have to go on irs and check thats what i did this morning and it said it was sent to my account today

I filed with turbo tax and the stimulus check was in my bank account this morning
This year I didnt use an actual bank account to receive the refund, I used the turbotax debit card they were giving out instead. So I have no idea what amount is on the card because everything has crashed.
@raisingbabes ugh that's frustrating. I'm sure everyone is trying to check. I had a hard time checking my bank account today I assumed it was overloaded. Maybe wait until after 5 and things will calm down.
@raisingbabes my sister used her debit card also if i would of never told her to go on the site and put in her debit card info she would of gotten a paper check
I did my taxes the same way but through h and r block I had to go to the irs website and input the bank and routing number for my emerald card now it says being processed so maybe check the irs website because it might not go on that card like I thought mine would. I haven’t got it yet cause I just put the info in this morning though!
@mandehhhx3 I ended up getting in & changing the deposit info so now it going to get sent to a bank account instead.

@raisingbabes, lmfao omg your going through the same thing I was this morning I was ready to throw my phone ! I use my turbo card regularly so I just went to check my balance and see if my check came in and it wasn’t working then I went to the irs website and that happened to me too !

Check the irs site for your stimulus check status. I don’t think your turbo tax would update you with that. But the irs site will.
@raisingbabes, it did that to me earlier too but it didn’t take long at all. Maybe 5 mins.
Return or stimulus? My turbotax never showed when my return hit...its like it would never refresh.

Turbo Tax doesn't have anything to do with the stimulus check, you won't find info there. If you filed taxes this year, and are within the tax bracket, you'll get your check. Don't worry. Check your bank account every once in a while.
