Ok so I'm constantly seeing people complaining about people out shopping for nonessential items and risking the spread of this virus. But I need to get Easter baskets & stuff to put in my kid's Easter baskets. Are y'all Easter shopping or what? I don't even have baskets bc we always go to my sister's for the weekend so we just leave them at her house. I can't find anything I need on Amazon everything is out of stock that I wanted except this one book for my son. What's everyone else doing?
I would never skip giving my kids Easter baskets. ESPECIALLY right now with everything that's going on and everything that's already been taken from them. Like their friends, school, sports, grandparents, cousins, etc. I'm going to make this easter as special as I possibly can. I've been ordering them stuff from Amazon, walmart, even some new summer pajamas, sunglasses and toys all from Carters. When my dh went to CVS recently for essentials, I had him grab eggs and candy fillers, fun electric toothbrushes, bubbles, chalk etc for their baskets.
My husband agreed to go grocery shopping & get the Easter stuff. So I told him let me just see one more time if there is a pickup or delivery available. So I checked & they had time slots for delivery on Thursday! So I quickly submitted my order. I know they probably won't have a lot of the stuff but I'm still so happy he didn't have to go there. Yay!
No baskets but she will get candy and do an egg hunt. I plan to do something that could be a good memory too. Baking Easter muffins, might eat dessert for dinner? 🤷♀️ Havent decided. My daughter won’t know years down the road what was ever in an Easter basket.
i ordered baskets ,candy, easter grass, toys, and personal care items for my daughters basket from target. it’s only 2 day delivery.
I picked up stuff from target, and did grocery pickup at walmart for more items. Amazon also had a few ite.s. In this time where my kids are scared and confused and we cant be with family, I'm making sure my kids have a damn good easter even if it's just us. They will dye eggs this week and have a few easter egg hunts just so it's normal.

I was going to do online shopping. I just buy them something anyway my family members do baskets. They will just be picking those baskets up from porches. Places still doing curb side pick up as well.
I wish I had planned way ahead. I just figured I would do a pickup order at Walmart like I always do but I haven't been able to get a time slot in weeks!
@onehotmess i haven't been able to get time slot either and Amazon been behind on non essential items. I'm actually looking at stuff on kohl's because its a curb side pick up. Maybe u can get snacks and basket at dollar general. Thought of that as well. Besides food is essential why not grab a basket while your there? Lol
@householdceo Yeah Amazon has been useless for everything. Everything is out of stock & I want a refund on my Prime membership that I can't even use. I'm thinking about asking my husband to go grab some things bc we do need groceries too. I have heart problems so I really wish we could just get a pickup or delivery. I wish they could reserve slots specifically for high risk people & have everyone else shop in stores.
I ordered from Target and had some stuff delivered and some stuff as a drive up.
I ordered some stuff from target yesterday and it had Friday as delivery date so you could still probably manage that way. Honestly even if you do it late the kids won’t care one bit I’m sure. I wouldn’t go out specifically for Easter stuff myself. Not because I’d worry about what people thought but because it’s not worth the risk just for that
I picked up random stuff from the season aisle at the grocery store. My older one is getting a themed plate set from the Easter bunny this year. And candy. My 8 month old is getting spoons and some random toy I found in the baby section.
I online ordered from Walgreens & picked it up at the store. I had to go there for some children’s Tylenol anyways.
Do you have a CVS near by? They have baskets, eggs and other little things.
It’s not a necessity for me. My kids won’t suffer if they don’t get a basket but if I need to get groceries I would get the Easter stuff while I’m there. But at this moment how things are I’m not going out just for candy and treats. I made an exception with my oldest cause he was bored and wanted to play online games with his cousins and needed a controller and gaming headphones.
Are you going grocery shopping before Easter ? If so I would see what your grocery store has
I do need groceries but i keep trying to do a pick up order so i don't have to go in the store. But i can't even get an open time slot to place a pick up order. I'm just afraid I'll be getting bashed if i get caught shopping for nonessential items.
Nope 👎 but we do have eggs so we’ll probably just use a marker color and hide them 🤣
Mama, I love that you want to do something special for your children but needing and wanting Easter baskets for your children are two different things.
Let's be honest: You want baskets for them.
Here's an idea: make something for them. You don't need to buy anything to make something special for them. Then you can make a great memory together and have an amazing story for them when they are grown about that memory. You could always make something for the "Easter Bunny" instead of him leaving something for them to teach them about giving and kindness. I promise, your little babies will not even know Easter is being skipped if you never mention it. Now your older son, he will know but he is old enough to understand. I hope this gives you some ideas. Have a great day!
@leonardsquared I was just asking what everyone else was doing that does celebrate Easter with baskets. It wasn't meant to start a debate. We can agree to disagree on what we think is essential. It's not worth arguing over. ❤
@momtoboys1516, only you hold the list of what should be important and what shouldn't be?? Your list doesn't match mine, doesn't make me any less of a person.
@momtoboys1516, I can state my opinion JUST like you can honey. Can't deal with an adult conversation, perhaps you should move along.
I ordered from target and had stuff shipped to me.
@onehotmess, I did Target curbside pickup and was able to get everything. Even down to the egg decorating kits.
@blueismycolor Awesome. I usually shop at walmart but haven't been able to get an available pickup time slot in weeks. I'm gonna try Target & see.
@onehotmess, my target didn’t have a scheduled time. You just order through the app and let them know when you get there. It was super quick and easy.
I find it pretty hilarious how people who have shown their true colors on social media snake away, delete the posts that outed them and come back on social media like nothing happened. Why do that, you outed yourself, so stay out. We still see you boo boo...
need suggestions....
So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
So My coworker does not get vaccinated for anything due to religious practices and she’s worried about our job making it mandatory since they discussed it earlier this week. It’s crazy how when vaccines even started or came about we were told it would be voluntary but now it’s mandatory and people need a verification card to go certain places. We even have certain states doing lottery drawings just to make people get it. people shouldn’t fear losing their jobs or having to go against their relig...
