I honestly don’t know. Employers don’t know. The government says it will be backdated to 1st March where applicable but can’t be claimed till end April. So no ones comfortable offering something there not sure they’re gonna get back.
The employer will apply for the 80% via payroll and then pay you the money.
I’m hoping it’s that simple but who knows.
Your employer has to apply for it from the government, as opposed to the employees. It’s pretty much just a waiting game for now, I’m still waiting to hear but my boss says he imagines end of April before anything starts moving 😩
