Any other first time pregnant mums out there spent the last hour in tears absolutely lost. This is not how it's supposed to be... who is going to teach me in those first few days/weeks how to be a mum... as my mum is not allowed to leave her house (she is vunerable)(so will we be).... no one is going to get to meet my bubba unless it's over face time. My bubba will only be held by me and its dad until god knows when. I feel devastated for my baby but also for myself.... I spent my pregnancy unable to share the real Joy's because babies dad was on tour... now I face doing the same with my new born baby.
Nobody teaches you how to be a parent it’s just something you learn as you go. Your baby will have no knowledge of who would have visited them so they’re not missing out and when this is all over your family will be able to meet him/ her which will be so much more special because of the situation. And also, when you have a newborn, this isolation is the best thing that could happen because believe me when you’ve just pushed a watermelon out of a cheerio, having people constantly swamping you for visits gets extremely annoying extremely fast 😂
This won’t last forever. I know right now you probably feel helpless and a little lost but at least your baby has you and dad❤️ try think of the good out of a bad situation even though it can be very very hard to do so x my inbox is always open xx
It just makes me sad I guess. I have a memory of sitting on my sisters bed with my mum when she had her first with my mum showing her how to breast feed and what to do when he kept falling asleep 5 mins in lol. I know I have good instincts and have been working in care for the last 12 years with young children so that will defo help me out. I guess it's just the little things like the above that I am going to miss out on..
Thank you all though its nice to have the support as it's difficult to really tell partner and family how I really feel about it all as have to be strong about it all xxx
You have this app and we can all help and answer questions. The first few weeks of a baby are a blur and I think it’s nice to spend time just the three of you. There will be your mum as well as midwives health visitors etc a phone call away to offer sound advice. The hospital guide you well with a first baby before they discharge you home and you will be amazed what natural instincts you have as well.
Lockdown is three weeks if people follow the rules set then baby may not even be delivered. Try not to stress everyone will meet baby and love and bond in time
Lockdown or not nobody can teach you to be a parent. You learn through your own instinct and if you worried or need advice we are all here to help you if you need to ask how or what to do. Xxxx
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
Thanks ladies feeling a lot more positive today about it although not sure what else could go wrong right now.
