So when do you start your daughters in bras?
Mines is 4 right now and I don’t want to start her late and her breast start to drop.
I think if my mom put me in bra earlier that I would’ve had a better breast shape or something . I just felt my breast could’ve been supported better to get a better structure.
She has little buds but she is 4 and she isn’t chunky so I’m not sure yet. Advice?
I think it depends on the puberty hit. I definitely wouldn't make a 4 yr old though lol. Id say start around 8-10 training bras.

Breast shape and structure is largely based on genetics and body type. No need to put a young child in a bra or even worry about her future breast shape.
Just a under shirt should be fine she won’t have boobs for 5 years or longer lol
Tank tops for step daughter in preschool to 1st but in 2nd you could see here chest through more shirts so I bought thin sports bras that we wore.
I developed extremely late (didn’t get my period till 15 or boobs till like 16) so I started wearing bras at like 11 when I didn’t have to, it did not help my boobs at all lol.
Ctfu I would love for my daughters to hit puberty later In life.
My mother got hers at 16 but I did at 11 I wouldn’t want that for my girls ....
How did you grow up and do you have sisters and brothers when did they hit puberty?
@jaixi, I have two sisters and they all hit puberty early. I was taking growth hormones so everything got delayed, the only thing was that I was jealous everyone else had their periods so I would lie and say I had mine too 😩
I’d definitely say it depends on the child. Some kids develop faster then other. I wouldn’t think a 4 year old needs one for support, however you could always get the little cotton sports bras. My daughter is 7 and has been wearing them since 5 but only because of dance. She still wears T-shirt’s also even though she has started to sprout a little.
What about a tank top under her shirt? I mean 4 is very young to be thinking about bras. Shit I hate wearing one but I have to hold off as long as possible. She has the rest of her life to wear a bra lol.
She always wear tanks . So I guess I’ll just stick with that from all the comments. My mom just really didn’t teach me alot and I figured a lot out for my self and I don’t want that for my girls . I need to have answers and procedures for them to follow until they can make their own decisions about their body.
I didnt start developing boobs until maybe 9 or 10 yrs old but my mom had me in sports bras when I was around 7 & it didnt really help the shape of my boobs or anything lol. By 12 I was one of the only girls with bigger boobs & they definitely started to hang so I dont think starting them early is going to do anything.
I got my period at 11 so I started wearing a bra around then. Luckily my boobs never got big throughout adolescence so it didn’t effect me much.
My oldest didn’t need a bra until 7th grade, but in 6th grade they had to start dressing out for PE, so she wore sports bras and my 11 year old definitely doesn’t need a bra, but she wore sports bras when she had PE last semester.
Definitely not a 4 year old. I started wearing bras in 4th grade but I actually had boobs. My 8 year old wears a little training bra but only because she wants to. She definitely doesn’t need one.
I started wearing a real bra at about 10. I personally wouldn’t put her in a bra right now, boob “shape” is a cosmetic thing and everyone’s are shaped different.
Not like a perfect shape but I want her to have have support while she starting and not when when they already have weight
@jaixi, I’d look into camis or a sport bra then. But you also don’t want to make her uncomfortable.
@littleonemorning, of course not but she’s been wearing tanks forever . Plus she would be excited to wear a bra . My daughter is very open spirit and just likes explanations.
So if she needed to wear one she would just understand hats what she needs to do as a girls child but it seems I’m just freaking out . So I’ll just stick to the tanks.
I was wearing a bra in 4th grade. I was starting to get made fun of for having boobs.
I wasn't wearing a training bra til around 11 or 12 ish. Got my first period at 13
Same age as me but I got my period at 11 summer before 6 grade. Noticed my boobs at 10 and immediately was uncomfortable even though I wore undershirts everyday.
Personally wouldn’t have my 4 year old in a bra. I wouldn’t even be thinking about it at that age. I say a sports bra closer to middle school
@jaixi, well it sounds like you already have her best interest so I wouldn’t worry about messing up. 😊
@iuiblessing2018, 😅 thanks. But this is exactly why I didn’t want girls. I feel like I’m still figuring out the best things for my body and now I have to decide what’s best for them. I was raise ignorant.
@jaixi, I’m a pitiful A cup so I’m not much of a help in the bra department but I say if she says anything about feeling uncomfortable for having breast that would be the time to think about it.
I can’t imagine having to explain all things women to my little girl either. Lord help us all 🤣

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
My baby girl does not let me do anything all day 😭 I'm lucky if everything is done before my s.o gets home , she cried so I pick her up to feed her and change her diaper and once she's on my breast she eats and I burp her put her down and she'll cry I get her again and she's on my breast not even latched on just smelling my boobs 😭 I'm like girl really lmao she wants me to carry her or be with her all day , girl I wish I could lmao

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
