Ladies, my partner is going back to work next week which is great but he is going back on nights (6-6) and it is about an hour on the train traveling. I use to be fine being in the flat on my own but since having the kids my anxiety has gotten really bad and I can feel my anxiety building about it. I really don't know what to do. My partner can't change it and I can't tell him not to go back🙃 any advice?

Just have a set plan for things you will do I.e tv shows, chores, so not your not sat fiddling your thumbs thinking about it. Get him to agree to texting you at set times of hes allowed to. I have awful anxiety and this was one of mine as a couple nights he would be back late I still get anxious but I try and stick to schedules like on this night I watch blah blah tv, phone a friend etc

I’m a huge worrier and my hubby works away. I manage just through a routine took a couple of weeks to establish. I aim to get my chores done before bath time so when kids are in bed I have nothing left to do minus ironing. I follow the organised mum method for cleaning and it’s a life saver.

I like to sit and take half an hour for myself and read a book to just unwind then I go to bed between 8-9. I need the sleep to feel refreshed when he’s working away for three weeks at a time x

i always think the worst as well. But I think having their cameras set the way we do helps. I have spent many nights awake thinking I hear someone in the loft 😂 then with Ailsa being premature I never slept properly I was too anxious and watched her breathing for hours at a time. With two young children you need sleep and I think exhaustion won in the end with me and I realised I need early bed to function best for them. I also have a hammer under my bed

@casey19 @stacey1991 thank you ladies like I said I know I will be okay, I live in a flat there are camaras by the door downstairs with new locks and I like in the building with two ex army men. Both retired and one very nosey I'm just really paranoid and watch to much TV xx

@stacey1991 they are friendly but don't know if I could fully trust them. The man downstairs already has our numbers as he is the handyman in the flats so I guess if I needed anything I could call him plus I would only have an hour and a half with both kids as my son goes bed at half 7 so I would only have the baby and could go bed then xx

at least someone does then, I think the first few nights will be wobbly because you're listening out for all the noises etc but you will settle eventually xx

Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
