being scared is normal. it probably won't go away till you actually experience it. but just keep in mind that your baby will be with you in just a matter of minutes. once your in that hospital bed it's going to hit you that you will have your baby with you so so soon. I rather do c sections than play the waiting game till its time to push. aha it's uncomfortable, I'm not going to lie. for a week you won't be able to get up quick, my bf had to help me get up from my bed. it's all worth it at the end though. just pray and relax. don't watch anymore videos. Lol I couldn't even watch that after I had my son. Lol

I was just as scared at you. I stressed off about that for days. my dr let me try vaginal at the last minute. and I was in labor for like 8 hours. those 8 hours were the worst 8 hours ever. I didn't dilate after a 3 and my son pooped so my dr decided to just give me a c section. I felt like I was about to die when I heard that but it actually is not bad at all. I had my son within minutes. all you feel is tugging and pressure. the next day I was up and walking like nothing, the nurses even got me in trouble for being up on my feet a lot. Lol I had my schedule for my pain med and I was on top of that all the time. aha so I didn't feel any pain at all. I only took the pills for 3 days and after that I was all good. I had my C section last November. and now I'm due with my 2nd son in February and my dr wants me to try to go vaginal again. Lol and to be honest I don't even want to go through all that again. I rather have a c section and be out and over with everything quick. Lol its not that bad, trust me.

I have a placenta previa complete so even if I wanted to give birth naturally I can't. Placenta is covering my whole cervix. I am just scared. Erg scared but I am hoping for the best. Gotta keep my faith up high. W my son I had him naturally and it was so easy and no pains no trouble at all and I was able to pretty much do anything, @ashley_abby20

I couldn't deal with the pain of child birth @faithfulness88 so I chose to do it Csection cause it's faster but it's what you wanna do an what your body can Handel to b honest

@faithfulness88, I never thought I'd hv a Csection an may29 I did because my son got stuck under my tail bone I could hv gave birth naturlly but I chose to do Csection an I did it awake no pain meds or nothing the recovery is tough it was fucking awful excuse my language .. Lol just know you gonna feel achy , can't fart, can't take a 💩 , a most if all it hard to walk .... After you go through it just drink lots of water, walk, no excersize, just relax an in about 2 months you'll feel your body feeling better again but it honestly takes a year to recover fully it's my first an I'm just learning and getting used to it....😣😞😔😒☺️😉😊😀😘

@faithfulness88, I hope they do. Ask your doctor next apt. If they are planning on it just in case. The shots will help develop babies lungs just encase you do have to have the baby early.

They haven't gave me any shot yet, @hward12 yeah I am in bed rest. I hope I mean like babe says they both look crazy lol the c section and normal. Lol he said he doesn't know which one is worst.

It looks very painful but it's not. It for real is so weird cause you feel what they are doing but no pain. I hope you can make it that long! I had Landon at 36 weeks do to my placenta dying. Well hopefully I'll make it to 37 weeks but the dr said that anytime it can happen once I start bleeding. I am going to be 28 weeks tomorrow but no bleeding so I hope I can make it until December. I just looked at a video and omg 😢😢😢😢 it looks painful @hward12

@faithfulness88, I was on Percocet even tho I never took that's what they prescribed me. That's what I was worried about also. I had a mini panic attack before my husband got in there. Just remember the doctors are skilled and they all know what they are doing. Praying for you and for your recovery to be a breeze!!

What kind of medication did they give you? , @aliya0915 I guess mainly I think about when I had my gallbladder removed in 2006 and the recovery wasn't so bad but it wasn't fun either.

not immediately... I was given pain medication before the anesthesia wore off. Try. to stick with the medication schedule to manage pain

It's honestly nothing to be scared of. I was the same exact way you are at first but now after having one I laugh at how I acted 😂 so here is my story. I wanted an all natural birth. One of my friends had been paralyzed after having an epidural so I was TERRIFIED to get one. Then I get told I am having a c-section. My placenta had died and my son was breeched. I was even more scared because you get a spinal tab with a c-section. So the day comes and I am so nervous... My husband gets ready and they rolled me back. He was not aloud in there while I got my spinal tab. I got it and the thing that hurt the most was the numbing shot they give you in the spot they are going to do your spinal tab. I didn't feel the spinal tab at all and the numbing shot really didn't hurt that bad. So everything starts going numb and I start freaking out because I can't move my legs and my arms are out to the side (you have to lay down like you are on a cross pretty much) my husband comes In there and I finally calm down because he is there with me. My doctor pinched me all over to make sure I couldn't feel anything lol😂. The procedure started and it's the WEIRDEST and most out of body experience I have even been through. You feel NO PAIN but you do feel the tugging and the pulling but it doesn't hurt. It honestly is just a weird feeling lol. It took no time for my doctor to get my baby out and get me stitched up. She did amazing! I was rolled back to my room and couldn't move till the next day. My spinal tab wore off probably 4ish hours after they did the surgery. My doctor told me the best advice she could give me is when you are aloud to finally get up and walk you need to get up and walk. (I was able to the next day) the longer you sit and let that incision sit and stiffen the harder recovery is going to be. I literally had to take ONE single pain med and was acting completely normal 2 days after my c-section. I had no pain. I was able to walk and take care of my son completely. I needed help with VERY VERY little things. I have to have another c-section with this one and I am not nervous or scared at all now. My recovery was a lot different then some. Sometimes it takes longer to feel better and some bodies react differently to the surgery. I have a high pain tolerance and the surgery and recovery was a breeze for me 😊

I guess my biggest fear is having so much pain. And honestly I hate numbness I hate it because when I get panic attacks my whole body gets numb and I feel like I am about to die. @aliya0915 thank you for replying I really appreciate it.

I had 3. The recovery is rough just being honest. But as soon as you c an try to walk and poop after the surgery to feel better. With that said pay attention to your body and don't push beyond your limits
