Literally my son too! He will wait around and beg me to play until I’m available . And you’re right, they’ll outgrow it one day ❤️ some days are just harder than others.

I think boys tend to be more clingy. Mines 5 and I feel is starting to play by himself more. But still would prefer to be near me. Especially if they’re an only child

Yes ! And he is an only child, so he gets 90% of my attention when we’re home ! I’ve asked him if he wants a sibling and he’s made it clear he doesn’t 🤣🤷🏻♀️

my daughter keeps herself entertained with stickers. she'll take them off, put them back on and repeat for an hour with out a peep and its hilarious to me. when she had her playpen up she'd hang out in there for 30 mins or more sometimes.

Depends on the kid. My 10 year old was a really independent playing kid. Still is. My 7 year old is up my butt every hour of every day and I don’t see it changing any time soon.

Will he watch TV? I limit my daughter’s TV time but when I need her to calm down and be entertained while I cook dinner then I put the TV on for her. I save it for when I need to get something accomplished.

I think my daughter wasn’t really good at entertaining herself until close to age 4. She was so demanding as a baby/toddler and I had to constantly entertain her or take her out. She still asks me to play with her now but it’s not nearly as bad, and I often hear her playing by herself for like an hour. Plus she also has her brother to torture 😂

Never 🤣 mine still won’t leave me alone for 5 min ..they have the easy ages hell I can’t even watch a show they y’all talk threw it smh

My baby has been playing by himself and going to room to room from his sisters room to his room for about 3 week now and he just turned 9 months 2 days ago

Maybe cause he’s still a baby. I remember my son would entertain himself at that age too. But right now, idk if it’s something I’ve made him accustomed to , BUT HE WILL NOT PLAY ALONE in his room. He’ll literally sit and wait for me if I’m doing something .

My oldest was about 1.5 playing by himself and entertaining himself. I think by 2 he was like ok bye mom don’t need you 🤣

I’m glad my son isn’t the only one who won’t play on his own! He waits around for me also and if I’m doing dishes/laundry/cooking he just begs me to play with him. The best time for him to play alone is after a meal. If his tummy is super full he’ll go play for a few mins while I clean the table. I stop what I’m doing all of the time to play bc I feel bad but sometimes mamas just need to get housework done! I can relate! But good thing is they will grow out of it eventually and at least they love and want our attention!
