Feel like I'm officially friendless. I had 1 mom friend, who I knew pre-momhood, and she has made plans again and again and keeps ducking out but also leaving me in a massive mess when she does. I dont speak to anyone from primary, secondary, college, the two unis I've attended, the 3 jobs I've had! And I'm actually such a good friend, I just find it sad and friends I make from now on will never have known me not as a mom :/

My mum once told me you make your true friends through your children. At the time I didn’t believe her but looking at all the people I consider my close friends, I know them because of my children (either through playgroups, school or after school clubs etc)

I went back to work pretty quick so I never got chance to make long lasting friendships from playgroups but I hope when he starts school and makes his own friends then I'll make friends with parents

I have some pre baby friends. However since moving to a new area I have no local friends I’m hoping when he starts nursery I will make friends. Xx

My mum started talking to 2 other mums in the playground as they all had the same pushchair. 28 years later they are all still best friends and go on holidays and girly days out together!

I have one friend left from before Theo was born. All my friends now are 'mum' friends... We go on days out together, look after eachothers kids and we've literally just this week had our first little holiday together with the kids and our partners. In fact one of their little ones is currently asleep in my spare room 😂😂 I can honestly say all the friends I have now are through Theo, and I'm OK with that x
