Experiences with croup?
Dont think were at that point yet but charlie got very barky cough so just being wary

Both mine r the egsact same. My eldest is coughing that much he's vomiting but then i dont know if that's another bug ontop of it as he's got runny nappy aswel n a temp its just going round everywhere he had the cough for a while before he got the fever, my lil man is now coughing so I'm thinking in next day or two he will follow my eldest. I cant tell the difference between coughs there all awful, hope your lil man gets better very fast. Xx

I just wish I knew wa type of cough it is, he's gasping for breath inbetween n gets all panicky jst waiting on a call off the gp but starting to wish I'd of jst tuck them there now instead! Have u tried lemon n honey for lil one seems to of made it not as harsh but still here. Xx
I would try and push the doctors sooner than later if you think it might be croup, it’s horrid 😫 But that being said it can be so sudden. Charlie was fine in the day other than a temp, went to bed and he ended up being taken in and having steroids and oxygen x
@laurabump27, yeah in the day you would hardly know my Charlie was bad but as soon as they go to bed t really comes out. I guess there’s not much you can do yet just try keep any congestion at bay, see how he gets in tonight and if he gets bad just take him straight up to a&e. He’s had it twice, took about 3 days the longest time and another time it was gone by the second night x

The barking cough, which gets worse at night when they’re resting, raspy noises when breathing in, a hoarse voice and sometimes difficulty breathing x
Hes got an awful barky cough and noisy breathing... and nasty runny nose too... ive heard its viral and they wont do anything tho? X
@laurabump27, no they won’t give anything unless he starts struggling to breathe, then they will give steroids etc. But most of the time it sounds worse than it actually is. Signs to look out for are flaring nostrils, fast breathing and skin sucking in under the ribs when breathing x
Sophias had this a lot. Every doctor told me paracetamol and loads of water. The paracetamol reduces the inflammation of the tragius which inflames with croup. I csn honestly say it works. She had it so bad once I was giving her cough syrup a few days later took her to the doctor and he said stop giving that to her and give paracetamol only and water and should ease within 48 hour and this worked. I swear by it. X
