Did you ladies do anything for your toddler when the new baby arrived ?

Just got my daughter a big stuffed frog and balloons. She didn’t honestly care about her sister what so ever. We tried to show her and she stared at her for a minute and then just walked away and went about her business like she didn’t exist lmao.

They didn’t really care they just kinda did there own thing they were 10 and 6 when my last was born they don’t really like baby’s 😂

We gave our son a soft baby doll to hug and kiss. He liked to lay it in the bassinet and rock it. We’d tell him what a great big brother he’d be and really try to build his confidence and let him know that he was getting a baby sister. We made sure that it was all positive so he was excited. Once she came he was mommy’s helper with little things like passing me a burp cloth or throwing out a diaper. We encouraged him to be around her so he wasn’t nervous but we kept a close eye that he didn’t get too bold and try to pick her up on his own. We didn’t give a gift. We just made sure to include him in every step of the way so he didn’t feel that he was missing out on any attention. A lot of focus was on developing their bond as well as our entire family’s bond as a whole.
