So I'm beyond upset with this doctor 😡😓 (my obgyn is ooo this week)

Update:

I went to the doctor this morning and the urine test there was negative (50 mIU/ml)

They did an ultrasound (after I had to INSIST the doctor allow) plus a blood hCG (idk if quantitative or qualitative) and a STAT blood volume test.

the ultrasound tech told me that she didn't see a gestational sac and they'd let me know if it's too early or if I'm towards the end of the miscarriage after getting my blood work back.

The Doctor just called me and said that my blood test came back negative and the ultrasound "didn't show much" he didn't even address the blood volume results.

After I asked him what he meant by that he just said "You're not having a miscarriage, it's probably just a period"

So I asked him about releasing my results to be online on my chart and he said "I don't know about my chart, I don't know how to do that" 😩

So im sitting here. Without clarity. Without my labwork. And the office is close. Smh

TMI ❗️

I've been cramping bad and BLEEDING bright red blood literally all yesterday and today to where if I stand up, it's gushing out of me. I bled out on the table when I got an ultrasound through the sheet they give, through the paper onto the actual chair. Like I've never bled this much in my life. 😓 has anyone actually had a period this bad???

I'm so lost right now.

Since kids my periods have been so heavy. Like changing a tampon or pad every 1-2 hours. I never had heavy periods before kids. Having babies can really throw your body off.

I guess having a second one did the trick! Lol but I had my daughter 7 years ago also. So my body was younger then 😂

I remember after I had my son my periods become very heavy and painful. Since it looks like your youngest is only 3 months old it could be a very bad period. It takes a bit for your body to get back on track after a kiddo

@rese, mine were really bad after I had a kid. One reason why I can’t wait to get back on birth control so I won’t have to deal with unbearable periods

The doctor could prescribe you something so you wont bleed heavy during your period

And if you are having a miscarriage the ultrasound definitely would had seen that and they would of told you

But you would no if you were having a miscarriage cus you bleed abnormal that means something was going on but you just had a regular period then you was never pregnant and maybe your cycle just changed

My bleeding is abnormal. That's my concern. It's very heavy and bright red.

It doesn't have a menstrual smell to it. It's just different.

Idk what the ultrasound showed or didn't show because the doctor said "there wasn't much" and wouldn't elaborate or release my results.

This is the only time I've had this type of bleeding so if it happens again I'll definitely do that!

My pp periods were way worse after my girls than with my boys. And my last birth it was nothing for the first 3 months then bam it was so heavy! And stayed that way for several months before going back normal. Just drink water and rest and monitor it. Could just be a full pp period

It does sound Normal after having a baby,1st 2nd periods “see if your filling a pad and how often in less than 1 hr , sometimes too our cycles do change after each time giving birth “for example never had cramps until I gave birth to my 2nd son and rem too every 7yrs our cycles can change

I'm changing my pad at least every hour. I went and bought the super absorbent thick ones. Most of the time I'm running to the bathroom as soon as I stand though because it gushes when I stand up and feels like it's about to be too much.

I'd think I'd have cramps and bleed like this more so my first than my second period postpartum 😩 guess I'll know more next period.

@rese, hope u feel better I know it’s scary seeing so much blood Gush out happened after my 2nd son when I got home and stood up I was in shock how it came out ;( if u feel light headed or bleeding a lot like that then yeah go to urgent care “if it’s bigger than a golf ball size not a good sign u could be losing too much blood then so keep an eye on the amount

@sherrynygirl, yeah it's definitely bigger than a golf ball. It's just not a clot. It's just really thick though. Like that's why I've been so concerned. The symptoms leading up to this and then this isn't normal for me.

I won't play around with it if I get worse.

This is how my first PP period was. Is it your first after baby?

No this is my second. My first was like my normal ones were. That's why I'm just so taken back.

Usually I have medium to light periods that last only 4 days.

@rese I don't blame you!! I would be nervous too. I was freaking out when this happened to me. Maybe just hormones getting back to normal?

ive never had a miscarriage so i can’t speak on that experience, but i know that periods can be a lot different after having a baby. my periods were always light with minimal bleeding and then when i got my period after having my daughter they were quite a bit heavier so that could explain why you’re bleeding so much if it wasn’t a miscarriage.

My last period was the same as before. Do they change up monthly?

I'm not even focused on the miscarriage part so much.. I'm truly concerned with the amount of blood I'm losing. The miscarriage would only be an explanation of everything I've experienced thus far..

@rese, i don’t believe mine changed that much from period to period, but honestly i can’t really remember, only that they were heavier. definitely stay hydrated and if you have any signs of blood loss like weakness, dizziness, nausea, headache, etc. then go to the emergency room. i hope everything turns out okay for you.

@avalunasmama, okay. Yeah my husband told me to drink a lot of water! And I should go to the ER. But I told him I was going to monitor myself to see if I do develop those symptoms first. I just don't understand how the doctor could be so dismissive but he ordered the labs stat. Like 🙄.

I'm sure he did because the nurses could tell it was so much blood when I gave a urine sample and then from on the table.

But he called me at 4:38 and they closed at 4:30 so I think he was trying to rush and get out of the office smh
