I’m currently 24 hours into my induction with not much progress.
After the balloon was removed, i was 8 cm dilated. But baby was still very high. After a few hours i was rechecked and my cervix went back to 5 cm. Baby was still high. Now I’m on pitocin which has increased the frequency of my contractions but not the intensity. Pitocin has been slowed down because I’m having too many. (And not feeling them). I’m on the ball now and really hoping for baby to drop down. Once he is dropped down to a safe level, i will probably have them break my water to get this baby out.
I’m tired.

Ugh what sucks is that I’m not in any pain so I’m just sitting around being super frustrated

I would suggest having them break your water. I was on pitocin for 21 hours, they broke my water a second time and I went from 5cm to a baby in 2.5 hours.

Yeah they can’t break my water until he comes down. But i think that’ll be the best option

yup they can’t and usually won’t until he comes down further and your fully effaced because breaking your water can lead to him laying on the cord and higher risk. I went through that. They didn’t break my water till 10cm! And I was ready to push

I had the same issue with pitocin, super frequent contractions but no pain and no intensity. They ended up placing an IUCP and using that to monitor the contractions.

Wishing you a safe delivery,only with my last son had been given pitocin,13 hrs long labor ,traumatic to me ,vomited had me dizzy,and needed oxygen my 2 other sons came both in 20 min labor
