Is membrane sweep necessary? My boyfriends mom is telling me my son is already full term so I need to make my doctor do it to jumpstart labor I’ll be 38 weeks soon she says it’s not normal for a first time mom to make it to the due date. My son is also measuring small at only 5lbs so I don’t know

Being pregnant you will get so many wanted opinions. Based on the comments and what your saying you already know what's best for you and baby. Listen to your heart and not others opinions. I was told by my mil and sil that I wasn't big enough and I was gonna go 47 weeks (being funny) but I knew I'd probably have him in a couple of days (which was on my due date) and I was right. Go with your heart and listen to your body and mind cause at the end of day its YOUR BABY. Any medical issues that come are you and your man's to deal with.

To me everything she is saying is wrong! Most of the time the first baby takes longer. Plus you still have a couple of weeks left. You want that baby to develop as much as possible! Don’t rush it. I was 41 weeks with my first. I was induced. With my second I was 40 +4, she came on her own.

No I’ve never had one done and both my kids were late. I wouldn’t even ask the dr at this stage. You’re only 37 weeks. She needs to be quite. Let baby come when he/she is ready

I was thinking the same because I’m barely gonna be 38 weeks tomorrow so they’d probably make me wait 2 weeks anyways and considering it doesn’t always work I don’t know if I wanna even go through that pain

I wish it was that easy I remember my last pregnancy I was 38 weeks and I asked my doc to do it he said no only time they do it is of your over due or due to a medical condition

I was my moms first and I was "late", my sister her second child was "late". My daughter was a day before due date. My doctor said it best when I was pregnant she said "Congratulations you have stepped on to a ship that isnt controlled by you."

She’s wrong. Most first time moms actually can go over 40 weeks.
40 weeks is full term.
Baby will come when the baby is ready, give him more time to grow.

It's not necessary and it doesn't even help sometimes. Most doctors won't do it until your 39 weeks because that's when you're full term

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
A pony tail is going to make my son gay! So recently I was teasing my son (15 months old) about needing a hair cut.
So I just found out that my husband is sleeping with my sister and they are making fun of me.
My 5 year old brother just got circumcised due to all the infections he kept on getting & seeing him in so much pain not being able to walk makes me glad I got my son circumcised as a newborn & planning on doing the same with my second baby.
Not having a mom right now really fucking sucks. My birth mom is a POS and I refuse to let her be a part of my life. And my step mom is in my life daily but she's such a bitch and favors her sons and their wives over me so she's basically dead to me too! So annoyed I could cry for days. Fucking hormones! 😢
