my 3yo rarely uses his he doesn't really ask for it he watches YouTube kids he doesn't know how to do anything else

My three year old and six year old have the fire tablet and I have the family free time on it they only have kid friendly materials. They are rarely on it. When the battery dies they just entertain themselves with other things lol. But I dint limit screen time either they balance themselves out here you will see them either watching tv, playing video games, playing with toys or running around like they were given a shot of adrenaline.

My kids get an hour in the morning and an hour in the after noon for them. Sometimes in the car pending on how long we are gonna be gone.

My oldest about 1 hr and a half. Im getting one for the youngest too so probly an hr and only a few times a week for both

My 7 year old and 3 year old sons have tablets, and my daughter who will be 2 in January is getting one for Christmas. I’m not too strict about screen time, I pretty much let them watch tv and use their tablets whenever they want, within reason. I won’t let them sit on their tablets all day by any means. If I feel like they’ve been on their tablets too long I’ll make them get off of them. But they usually aren’t bad. And my daughter is always stealing the tablets off the boys and my 3 year old son and my daughter always end up fighting over it 🤦🏽‍♀️😂 and that’s why she’s getting her own for Christmas lol

Make them earn time 10 min a chore or maybe 30 min all day ...I’ll make mine do that or read a book for 30 min

If you have amazon for 2.99 a month or 6.99(family) this is the kid account for the fire tablets. I love it and brings peace of mind there is no you tube kids but there are kid friendly videos and no ads, no accidentally clicking on the wrong things, no questionable apps and easy to use they can’t change profiles and I think you can add limits, set each profile by age and see what they are doing. Only thing you will need is an SD card with a good amount of storage space lol also these tablets only stay at home. The kid ones come with a really nice protector case.

My boys have had tablets for 4-5 years now. I'm not strict on screen time. They also have their own gaming systems and hand held games. My thing on weekdays during school is homework is always first, whatever time they have left they can play games, watch tv, or whatever!

My Dad gives my siblings two hours a day. I give my kid his iPad during drives over 45 minutes each way and he seems to use it about 90 minutes a day. He uses it to stim and calm down in his “egg” chair after his busy day. He’s not the kid that wants to live on his device fortunately. He does a lot of ABC mouse and you tube kids.

Lily’s getting a tablet as well I plan on using it when we go out if we e ever eat or dr apt things like that not much in the house
