Ice how do you like being a vet tech? I've looked into it quite a bit but end up backing out for some reason. Have you had people leave pets there when they have to get put to sleep and not go in with them? What happens?

@icebergahead, I’ve never been an er nurse. I didn’t like it. I like surgery much better. Loved seeing broken bones being out back together

@ss3mom, I did not like OR. Too much waiting and monitoring for me. I only liked stomach bloats and removal of Mass cases.

@icebergahead, yea it was a lot of waiting around. Especially cause the other surgeon always wandered off haha. He was amazing to work for though. I didn’t like doing total hip replacements that was way too long. But right after I left they started using the vent for those long surgeries which is so much better then having to breath for them ya know? Bloats were cool and foreign bodies. I liked seeing what was being pulled out of the stomach haha. The first surgery I got to assist in I had to hold the little dogs heart to the side it was intense
