Sometimes I feel like I've failed as a mom.. he can't talk, can't walk yet.. can't clap his hands.. I just feel like all of these things he should be doing and its my fault for not being more persistent 🙁

You haven't failed and don't let anyone make you feel as though you have either! I was like that constantly putting myself down about things he couldn't do. All babies develop at their own pace and when they're ready. He might just surprise you one day and do all the things at once. You're a brilliant mummy and so long as your baby is happy and healthy you are not a failure 😊 xx

You haven't failed, they all do stuff at their own pace,my daughter only started speaking at around 2 & a half, she was a later walker than my nephew and niece, as long as he's happy, healthy and loved, then i think you're doing an amazing job mama xx

You haven't failed. He's only 1. These things will come. Trust me in another year or 2 you'll be laughing at how much you worried about this stuff. We all do it. I worry now at every stage when my 2 struggle with anything. I feel it's my duty as their mother to help them. But end of the day they will do it when their ready. Max wasn't talking or walking at 1 either but doesn't stop now lol

Charlie was on a one word basis up until maybe a year ago where he would start using two words. Only as of literally about 3 months ago has he really started talking in proper sentences and he's 3 and a half now! Don't stress, there is no time bomb on these things, some kids are super quick and others take a little longer, like Charlie he is also an only child. Kids with older siblings always tend to be a lot quicker, Charlie's improvement really started to show once he started nursery and was constantly around other kids his age. He will get there! Xc

I agree with the other ladies! Your doing a brilliant job! My 2yo has just recently started talking and middle son didn’t walk till he was 19months. Still plenty of time 💙

No your not a failure!!
Chelsea has just figured out how to walk with her walker at 19 months. Dont think she clapped her hands till around 15 months either 🤷♀️
Your doing great and it shows in your pics you post of him, hes so smiley and alert 😊. I guarantee you'll look back thinking why did I worry so much xx

My LO walked at 13 months. My lo is 19 months now and has just said mummy!! And I'm a teacher! I thought he'd learn so quickly because it's in my nature but babies are all different and its not always about those around them, they learn when they want and how want x
