I did the first 2months then stopped. My daughter is 13months and still EBF and she hasn't had any problems. Same thing with my older son when I breastfed him.
I had to supplement my lo with Formula so she didnt need the vitamins. But they did try pushing more then she needed. It is recommended for ebf infants. However if you get sunlight regularly you don't need to supplement (tiny tid bit from an awesome nurse that I worked with your body does not use oral vitamin d the same as what you get from the sun. Your body actually may only use about 10% of a supplement and you get 100% of your vit d from the sun in about a half hour)

I did but we also lived where we didn't get a lot of natural sunlight so it was necessary.
