First of all, you’re trying. That’s fantastic! Here are some things that can really help.
Drink A LOT of water and make sure you’re eating.
I see baby has a shallow latch. Has she been checked for lip/tongue ties? You can try using a nipple shield if needed. The hospital should have one for you. But most important...get that baby out of her comfort zone! Strip her down and rub her feet. Do what you have to do to keep her awake.
If she really won’t latch, make sure you pump every 2 hours. You don’t want your supply to be less than what it needs. It’s all supply and demand.
@nerdasaurasrex, sometimes it’s a struggle. Maybe you need a nipple shield. Definitely don’t be afraid to ask for a lactation specialist while being in the hospital. They should have one.
