Prod & cons over the flu shot ? If pregnant do you get the flu shot ?

Pros:

you can’t get the flu from the shot.

If you do end up getting some strain of the flu, the shot can weaken the symptoms a lot.

Cons:

some people don’t like needles. Lol

It’s only for a certain strain. You can still get sick but like I said in the pros the shot can weaken the symptoms.

I got it when I was pregnant because my daughter was born during flu season and wouldn't have been able to get it herself. My husband has lupus so the pros outweigh the cons in our life. We get ours religiously every year.

Protects baby in the womb and after they are born before they can’t get their own flu shot. I don’t think their any cons.

My ob recommend me getting the shot when I was 20ish? Weeks

I’d ask them and talk to them about potential risks and with how far along you are etc

I’m curious because I have papers that I have to have signed when I go back asking if I want all these tests done throughout pregnancy and one being the flu shot

Yep I had the flu shot while pregnant n at 28wks had the whooping coughing vac shot n so did Seannas dad... my parents were already up to date with their whopping cough vac shots...

Only allowed ppl with their up to date whopping cough shot.. etc to be around seanna till

She was 6wks old as that’s when she got her first lot of shots..
