So tired of her barely latching onto me and we just fight for who knows how long til she barely latches again and my flat nipples don't help either so I guess I'll just pump...she was doing so well until yesterday....ugh guess my boobs are just for decoration....😡😔
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤
My bf brothers girlfriend really just said the pumps are not the same as latching so she figured out a way to do it! She latches on herself until she gets a mouth full of milk! WTF
My princess has been on my boob all day !!! I’m glad that she latches on with no problem cause if she wanted to eat or just hold it in her mouth while she fall asleep and not know how to latch and be frustrated it’ll be so rough !! I just love this little girl so much already .
So my daughters cord was wrapped around her neck I just delivered her vaginally she was so beautiful rip my angel

Have you gone to a lactating consultant? They should have one at the hospital or your doctors office/ pediatrician office. They can help with the latching on. I had issues with my son like that because he was in nicu and I didn’t really get to breastfeed until after he got out and they helped a lot

@armywife72515, are you able to pump at all? They should give you a little syringe and a small tube that way when she does latch you put a small part of the tube in her mouth and push the syringe so the milk will flow it’ll teach her that when she is around boob it’s time to eat after a while she should latch automatically without all the extra measures

Consultant. Also, have you tried using a shield? It helped my LO learn how to latch

Lactation at the hospital was barely around, tried using a shield that didn't work, and while at the hospital lactation said no ties, the pediatrician said yes the skin under her tongue was thicker than normal but the pediatrician said no as well

@armywife72515, I would make an appointment with a different consultant. You both are still learning to breastfeed so it will take a while. The first month is so tiring. Hang in there mama!

I use a shield cause my nipples are weird and we’re too big for his newborn mouth, and now that he’s older and a bit more patient we’re learning to do without. It makes life so much easier. But definitely see a lactation consultant. The ones in the hospital are useless, IMO. They see too many people in a day and aren’t able to spend the tome with you like a private one can

I would get a nipple shield my nipples were flat too I bf my second and the shield made them not flat anymore then after a couple of weeks o didn’t need it no more or try making your nipples hard like simulate them give that a try but if not definitelyget the shield

Another thing you could try is to pump a minute or pull your nipples a little before feeding her. Your nipples will become more pulled out over time. I have flat nipples and now I always nip.
