Has anyone gotten the nexplanon birth control if so how is it?

I had it twice and absolutley loved it. I'm having it placed again. It stopped my period for 2 years and as the hormones started to drop off it slowly returned around the time I needed a new one. Some people love it and some hate it. Just like anything else, everyone is different.
I had it for almost two years before it started messing up! I had to have like an emergency removal. It caused horrible nausea, and bad acne and everything else (like I had some type of hormonal imbalance / reaction) smh
It didn't take away my periods or help with acne obviously. Everything was still the same as usual until it went crazy lol
@blessedmama121619, yeah it just really depends on your body. Everyone responds differently to medicine, hormones especially.
I have had it for two years. I like mine. I don't get a period but still get cravings and mood swings for a week once a month 😂
No other side effects.
To be honest it’s hard because no research the nexplanon for. While and it got more good then bad news but then after I got it is she I found all the bad news.
Um before I did nexplanon I did the Nuva ring which I realized I loved since that’s what I’ll be using this time around.
U change it every 3 weeks. And it can pop out u just gotta put it right back in or not after sex ( sometimes my popped out) but I had it for a month and I didn’t have any symptoms with it. And I got my period like normal.
The doctor who removed mines said that she takes more out then she puts TF in. I’m like why are y’all promoting so highly then?! She said because that’s what they are told to do.
I cursed out my OB who recommended to me because he said that it was the best option overall.
Damn now idk what to do. I already gave the okay to order it and have to go back in a wk

I never had a period but had all the symptoms which drove me crazy thinking I was pregnant half the time . Then I was just more of a neurotic bitch then usual. And also after breast feeding stopped gained 20 lbs in a couple months!
I lost 30 lbs within 6 weeks no diet no exercise and gaining weight isn’t easy for me ever so I know that it was the BC.
And hen the process of removing it is ridiculous!!!

@blessedmama121619, because of scar tissue and the struggle to get it out . I watched the procedure and her complain the whole fucking time about how they are always ridiculous to remove. They move sometimes and the scar tissue build up can be bad and also the regular tissue grows around it so they have to dig for it .
She didn’t struggle but it annoys her that they thought this birth control was the best and they have to recommend it.
I got it after having my son in 2016 until October 2018. I got it knowing that people hadn’t heard good things of it. I’m not the type to remember to take birth control everyday even when I set the alarm. And I didn’t want anything like the mirena because it freaks me out honestly. The bad things people say are because of the bleeding. They will give you birth control to take with it if the bleeding gets bad to regulate it. But it’s different with each person, I had regular periods at first then they happened twice a month. My sister in laws didn’t have any periods. I took it out because we started TTC. I do want to say at removal it got stuck in my arm cause I guess fat grew around it. Not a severe case it just took two minutes longer to take out. Although we are supposed to I guess touch for it daily and I never did lol.
I had it for 3 years and I won’t get it again because I gained weight and didn’t have a period for 3 years. I didn’t like it
Really 😱 yes they said it would give lighter periods or none at all. But im just scared of the risks or other side effects now im thinking twice about getting it😩😩
@blessedmama121619, girl when I get my “period” it last a month and I bleed SOOOO MUCH! I’m never able to go with a pad on... it’s so annoying but I’m not pregnant so that’s why I stick it out!
I’ve gotten it 2 times! The first time it’s stopped my periods and it was awesome besides my mood swings people would tell me about! And then after baby I got it again but this time I’ve bleed for a month straight every time I’ve gotten my “period” 🙄 it’s not something I want but not getting prego is what I’m wanting 😂🙄
