Opinions please...💭 🤔😘

So my cousin who’s 42 has an 18 year old son. His got Aspergers Syndrome (in the Autism spectrum and very intelligent, has lots of emotional and social issues but is able to communicate his needs/wishes). He is vulnerable as his ‘friends’ do take advantage of him, and have previously robbed his phone and money etc.

Long story cut short...he was living with his mum (she is a single mum) but he kept bringing weed to the house and smoking it around. She obviously wasn’t happy about this, told him to stop, he wouldn’t so she’s kicked him out the house.

He doesn’t really have any other family support. He can’t keep a place down as he can’t manage money and spends his money on weed.

His dad is practically non existent & useless. He did live with him for 2 months. And in that time his dad made him sleep on the floor, took his money, never gave him food and caused a lot of trauma for him by putting him down all the time!!

His currently homeless and taking other things to deal with his emotions. I feel so sad about the situation. I’ve asked my cousin to take him back in and try to deal with him as he has no one else plus his vulnerable.

What would you guys suggest ? Xx

Hi what a horrible situation. Has he got a social worker ? If not I’d get in touch with social services and see if they can help him or offer any support for him.

I also think his mothers out of order but obviously don’t know the full situation xx

If he has a social worker they should be able to help, or might be best ringing for one so they can help him get into some sort of assisted living to get him on the right track. Horrible situation to be in, hopefully something gets sorted x

I'd definitely get in touch with social services if you haven't already. I'd also look into charities that may be able to help him and offer advice. X

He should qualify for supported living but I’m not sure how you go about it. I’d try social services they should definitely be able to help x
