Why are Drs so confusing... One minute Noah doesn't have any symptoms of tb and the next he does 🙄😫 I don't know what to believe 😭

@sarah-bradshaw Oh Jesus! They're so backwards, the amount of times they've called me an ambulance when I didn't need one and then when there is a possible emergency they tell you to sit and wait for a call back 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 @erincharlieconor he seems okay today but I haven't given him the anti biotics so that may be why xx

I hate doctors that do this, so many times I've had to sound like a hypochondriac just for them to check properly and I end up Right, you know your baby, don't think your ever over exaggerating. We got told Calvin's chest was clear and he must have a viral, I refused to move and go home, within a hour he was on oxygen, tube fed and dr finally started to listen turned out he had bronchiolitis and double pneumonia, he went downhill quick and if I'd of taken him home when they said I dread to think what the outcome would be, another time I rang 111 at 11:30pm he was hypothemic (34.2) already had chest infection and wouldn't wake up, got told a dr would call me back, waited 8 hours for the call back for them to tell me they think he has sepis... Your his mum and you know him better than anyone , hope he's better soon and don't forget to look after yourself too xx

My older sister looked after Maya, she took her to the docs the other day because she thought she had a rash

What my sister didn’t realise is that she had fallen and scraped her belly

The doctor told her it was a bruise but prescribed her antibiotic cream lol?

When I got her, I could deffo see it was a scrape not a bruise

Some doctors know shit 😂

Tbh i wouldn't listen to any advice from someone on 111, you call them with a stumped toe and theh say you're having a heart attack. They just go through a basic checklist that is so broad anything and everything ticks whatever box they want it to. Unless any test comes back positive or a ptoper doctor in a proper hospital says to worry, then i wouldn't worry

Ah well that’s great news that none of the tests have come back with anything, so that’s a positive.
Oh so it’s the 111 lot sayin he is showing signs but he’s not an emergency, a 3month old showing signs of TB is not an emergency...... a doctor who has never even seen him is sayin this to you 🤦🏻‍♀️ personally I’d ignore some idiot on a phone and listen to what your doctor who has actually seen him told you to do.
I’d by pass 111 and go up the hospital for him to be checked out, it might just be the meds making him sick and that’s why your doctor said to stop taking them and call 111 for advice but sounds like you’ve had 0 advice from them except making you even more worried with what you’ve now been told.
Sorry but to me anything like this involving a baby/toddler/child is an emergency 🤦🏻‍♀️ whoever said that is a moron.
Like I say personally I’d by pass 111 and go up the hospital for him to be checked out and explain what your doctor told you to do and all of what 111 has told you 🤦🏻‍♀️
He’s probably totally fine but at least you’ll know and it would put ya mind at rest. How is he now, has he been sick anymore x

Is fast asleep now, but he does randomly keep waking up crying, like really sobbing, usually he's down for the night at 9.30.
Part of me actually just thinks it's reflux because when he's having a bottle he is really fidgety but if I take his bottle he cries for it back 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

If the doctor is sayin he hasn’t got symptoms then sayin he has got symptoms of TB personally I’d be asking for a second opinion and not leaving until I got an definite answer of yes or no.
He either is showing signs or not showing signs! Have they done a blood test? Skin test? Surly they would give a definite answer. Some doctors really do piss me off.
Sorry to hear their putting you through all this hun, he probably is 100% fine but to be told conflicting things regarding his symptoms from a doctor must be worrying and infuriating at the same time x

It was from two different Drs ...
Basically he had his appointment Wednesday, x-ray came back clear and lungs sounded fine, Dr said nurses would come to my home and do a skin test and bloods in four weeks and he has to be on antibiotics for six weeks. He said if he starts vomiting after his medicine then to immediately stop his doses and call 111 to seek advice.
Since Friday (when he started his antibiotics) he's been really fidgety while feeding, bringing most of his bottles back up (vomiting a lot) and vomiting after his medication too (which is only once a day) so I called 111 and she said that he needs to be seen at an urgent care center straight away as he IS showing signs of tb but apparently doesn't need a&e because it's not an emergency...
And then 10 minutes later, the Dr from out of hours calls me and says sorry but you have been booked in for an appointment when we're closed but go to a local hospital so he can be seen... And then the same Dr with the same breath said but it's not really a hospital job ...
So I called 111 back and explained everything and he said "sorry there's nothing we can do"

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Theo was so ill when he was 6 months old, he had symptoms of meningitis. They literally refused to see him and I ended up at the hospital. Thankfully it was nothing as serious as meningitis but he did have an infection that needed antibiotics. I repeated his age several times. Whenever he's been unwell enough for me to feel a doctors visit is needed (twice) I've had to fight for an appointment!
