In case anyone cared, this is how low hazels ear is pierced. I just fear that one day it'll migrate down completely out of her ear. Its already lower now than it was when she first got them pierced at 5 months old.
@red_carr i know the advice is late. i never really thought about it before. and my husband told me about it when my daughter was little so i didnt get her ears pierced and im about to have another baby girl and ill wait for her too. better safe than sorry i guess.
@nerdasaurasrex right. I'm glad mine were done as A baby just because I didn't have to go through it as a kid/teenager but mine were done in the right place lol but I totally get what you're saying. Her ears have Definitely grown since she had them pierced
I’d take them out and let them heal. After a couple of weeks they should start to close. And when she gets older she can always get them redone.
That's what I'm thinking. It makes me sad to take them out but I don't want her having uneven piercings or one rip out or something. Should I only take the one out or both? If they can match the one that I leave in I think I'd be OK with her only wearing one earring for a while just so she doesn't have to get them both redone again but idk..
@red_carr, I’d just take out the one, so she won’t have to do both later on. Where it’s at right now won’t affect her but idk where they did it was too close to the bottom.🙁
@coffee_is_the_new_black yea that's what I'm thinking. Its just the one thats low. But I'm not sure if it'll affect her or not.. It just seems to be getting closer to the bottom of her ear as she ages
Wow I would take it out and let them heal. She won’t be able to wear anything with weight to it when she’s older
Exactly!😭 I'm so upset about it.. When they pierced it she jumped so they pierced low.. But instead of telling me and taking it out Immediately they let her go home like that and I take the blame for not paying closer attention when we got them done but I noticed soon after and didn't think it was too bad until she got older and her ears grew and it stayed towards the bottom even more.. I'm worried if she wears heavy earrings it'll make the hole droop and the earring will migrate out of her ear completely! Or rip😯😭
I'd take her to a professional and see if there's anything they can do to help
Thank you. I think I'm going to call a local shop and see about taking her in to see them.
EARRINGS!
For moms with girls, will you be piercing their ears? If so, when?
What's a good age to let a baby girl get her ears pierced?
Bit of a touchy subject- people's opinions on piercing babies/ young ones ears??
Hey I was just thinking about getting my little girl ears pierced and how many months did you get your daughter ear pierced or are you waiting until there a little older
my husband used to be an ear piercer and they dont really recommend small children get them till their ears are mostly grown to how theyll be as an adult because the position of the piercing can change as the ears grow bigger.
