at what age can you start giving babies actual food? I got told to start giving avery food and I'm a little iffy because she only has 2 teeth!🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
You can definitely give real food now. If you are worried about the chewing, start with foods that you could easily smoosh with your fingers
They’re gums are extremely strong but I understand your concern. Just give her steamed veggies. Also remember gagging and choking are very different. Choking is when they can’t get any air. Gagging is ok and completely normal. It’s a brand new sensation for them. Good luck mama!
@bodybycheetos @sabi.bishh awesome, this makes me feel better, I'm sorry I'm just a new mom asking questions
@divinely_favored no, my oldest was stillborn, my youngest is the only 1 I have
@scrub.life.mom I'm so sorry to hear that. And sorry for my comment. I shouldn't have assumed. I feel like garbage for that.
@divinely_favored dont say that about yourself, you didnt know! its completely okay I promise!
I’ve started my 9m old with eggs and really tiny pieces of sausages. He has 2 bottom teeth, but they just gum the food any ways. And I’ve gave him spaghetti too.
@ladyfreyja well I feel like a stupid mom now
@scrub.life.mom no lol. Just make sure it's soft, that is all. Think it's why a lot of people use baby food first, because they are scared of choking. But baby led weaning is best. That's what I did.
@scrub.life.mom Wait until your baby is sitting independently and is approximately 8 months old before introducing thicker purees, soft lumpy foods and meltable solid finger foods. ... Babies do not need to have teeth to learn tochew. The first steps of chewing require only tongue,
My daughter started at 6 months with no teeth. She didn't get her first tooth until 10 months old!
Just give tiny fingernail size foods
I've been doing like mashed potatoes and stuff like that, we tried the puffs and she choked on it so that's why I'm nervous
@scrub.life.mom
Well there is a difference between gagging and choking but I know it's just as scary.
I started with steamed veggies since they're nice and soft then worked my way to meats and stuff.
Do I have to give up spicy food
What age did you start giving your kids flavored milk?
I see slot of parents starting to give solid food to babies @ 4 months, but the doctor told me @6 months to start giving solid -_-
When can I start giving my teddy gram baby food ? 😛
What age do you start giving your child some big people food? And how often.
Docs recommend 6mths but my first was starting to push away bottles at around 4mths
