Ok personal question for moms with hpv that is gone bad and need treatment I want to hear your experiance I'm freaking out here am I gonna die? Is my body gonna need sergery I dont want sergery

I was thinking if you with the same partner and get treated but they dont how does it make sense to get treated when according to what I read condom doesnt really protect to get reinfected saying men cant get tested according to the doctors it goes away for them within 2 years and the best way to not get it again is to not have sex ok so I'm gonna be with my boyfriend and not have sex with him. Then might as well be single
Try not to be anxious. Make sure you find out if you have “abnormal squamous cells.” That’s usually what happens when you get a pap: they find abnormal cells. Next step is biopsy of those cells- (cutting small areas for further testing). After that they can determine what stage the cells are or if they are or aren’t precancerous or cancerous.
At the time I had my biopsies (over a decade ago) I had the lowest stage of precancerous cells. Back then there were about 3 stages of precancerous cells before cancerous. I’m not sure if things have changed bc it’s been so long and at the time HPV was not as understood.
Anyways, the biopsies felt like little pinches for me. Not terribly painful; some mild period like cramping afterward. You can take some Advil ahead of the procedure. Same with my cryotherapy where they froze my cervix w nitrous oxide I think it was. That was uncomfortable and caused a good amount of cramping. I think for me the hardest part was the anxiety.

@phoebesmommy thank you....I had the biopsy to me it hurt like hell I really don't want it done again but have no choice. I wish things where different I will also pray for all of us that it goes away and never ever comes back !!!!! In the name of jesus !!!

I had HPV when I was about 19. I had colposcopies done they recommended I get a leep but I didn’t cause that procedure freaked me out and it wasnt totally necessary. And it eventually just went away on its own and I have had clear paps since. I’m 31
They told me it's far too late for it to go away on it's own and needed treatment but looks like most of the mommies here had it around the same stage as mine and it still went away
I had HPV- the strain that leads to cervical cancer- when I was 17-20 and had to go through biopsies and cryotherapy (freezing of the cervix to kill the precancerous cells). Since then every pap has come back clean. I’m 33.
Hun I had HPV for 10 years it eventually turned into cervical cancer I was to scared to get the hysterectomy ended up pregnant and I got a papsmear while pregnant about 6momths after scheduled hysterectomy and the cancer & HPV was gone. They say it went dorment and could come back fiercer but its been about 2 years and nothing
My last pap they told me I had abnormal cells . They keep sending me reminders to get this looked at . I didnt have time for me . I bleed now and then . Not a period . Like I'll wake up and gush then be good until my period start . Also my period is every month on the 15th . For about 3 days . But this other bleeding is not a period I dont think . Uggggh I gotta make more time for me and my health . That's for sure !!!!! But so worried to find out I'm dying or something ..
@jesssska ob told me this 9 years ago . Then again 4 years ago . They said I had 3 or 4 abnormal cells . I figured it was csection scaring and have yet to follow up on myself . Kids come first .
@jesssska you need to go check because that bleeding is not normal and it's better to go and make sure you get treated.
What type of surgery are you having? I had a leep done in May after multiple colposcopys that continued to show high grade cells. I go back in September to be tested again.
My sister had it went in had it lazored off her ovaries or something went back to work the same day.

So they found cancer cells? That's what it turns into. Depends on the type of HPV you have, there are many kinds and not all can cause cancer. But it needs to found early. Yes and as someone said below they can do the leep thing too to get rid of it before it gets worse
I have the cancer kind and they keep not picking up to make an appointment with me at the hospital its rediculous
