I don’t like birth control for a lot of reasons, but one reason is I honestly believe it causes failed pregnancies & miscarriages. It does more harm to the body than good... but slowly & surely it’s tearing up ovaries, uterus, tubes etc. my mother was on BC for more than 10 years, when she got off she had almost 4 miscarriages back to back & finally had my little sister. My oldest sister was on BC for a couple years ( the one in her arm) she got off and had a 12 week miscarriage, got pregnant with her rainbow baby & lost him at 37 weeks.( he had only two blood vessels in his cord was supposed to be 3) I don’t recommend BC if you ever plan on having kids again. Not all problems are due to BC , but it’s definitely a factor.

I agree! My BD sister been trying for the past 5 yrs & she was in depo since high school & wasn't having sex at the time. I feel so bad for her but I know one day she will have her baby

Yes it’s so sad bc doctors have you thinking you’ll b fine when you come off it but in reality it does some damage.

I agree that’s why I had my tubes tied and avoided any type of birth control. I just don’t like the idea of putting hormones in my body that’ll do damages in the long run.

The side effects are horrible !

Two anecdotal stories from your life do not equal causation. You can’t unequivocally say birth control causes this. I was on the pill for years, went off of it to get pregnant, and was pregnant within 4 months. Pregnancy had no complications, and I have a now 7 year old amazing son.
I will say I have heard it takes longer to conceive after being on the Depo shot, but that is not the pill. When you make a post like this lumping all forms of birth control together, it could scare off someone from pursuing bc options. That discussion should be with their medical provider.

Agreed. I was on depo for 3 years. While I wasn't trying with my youngest. I did concieve her a year ish after stopping. I don't have any issues with pregnancy at all 🤷.

@nerdymommyplus2, That’s awesome! Glad you didn’t face any issues & got to give birth to a blessing ❤️

I was on the pill forever and never had any issue, so you are totally right that it affects everyone differently. And I totally agree with everything you said

I was on birth control on and off for twenty years and I had no issues from it at all and got pregnant the first month I went off it. Guess everyone is different

@prettymom3, I don’t blame you on the shot, I’ve not heard great things about it or the arm implant. I think maybe the ones meant to last for long periods of time like that might deliver too much hormones. Whereas the pill is taken daily, so not as much hormones all at once.
Ameerah··
yeah I’ve never heard too much about the pill either except that it makes blood clots on women more likely.

yes that's about the only really bad side affect that could happen as far as I know

I believe this ! Even though I don’t have trouble getting pregnant after being on birth control for 5years.

Wow, anything that stops your period other than pregnancy and menopause is unhealthy. I hope she never gives up
