This might be a dumb question, but can you get endometriosis at any time or is it something you’re born with? After having my daughter my periods made me feel sick, they were heavier and overall just not a good experience compared to before. I got the depo shot the first week of january and never renewed it in march. for the past few months (and after my daughter was born) i’ve had painful ovulation, feels like my uterus is filling up with air or water. I had my period this week, lasted about 2 days which never happens. and now i’m having really cramps back pain in my lower back and achy in my pelvic area

Endometriosis is basically a cell, some have it, some dont or all have it, I cant remember exactly, but if and when it turns, is when it happens, it's a hereditary thing, not all the time, but most. I was diagnosed with it at one point. I dont have it anymore. But all my aunts and mom had it.

But if you think you have it, you should definitely speak with your doctor, get it taken care of, cause trust me. If it is indeed endometriosis. The pain you feel now, will be nothing compared to what it can turn into.
