So if my child does anything wrong I would sometimes smack his hand and tell him no but I'm getting super tired of doing so that I am catching myself just constantly yelling, anybody else?
It's like I don't exist until I turn into Ursula or something and I just need to know that I'm not the only one LOL

thats most children. my kids are the same way. my 2 oldest are way better than they used to be and actually listen but smaller children are like that.

Some kids catch on faster from discipline then others. Yelling at our daughter doesn’t work we have to talk to her calmly and discipline her that way, and we only use spanking when it absolutely necessary cause if always spanking them for every little thing they do bad they get so used to it it doesn’t phase them and the don’t learn the discipline. Maybe try talking calmly but Stern to them so they know your not playing when u say something they’re not aloud to do or whatever the situation may be.

Yeah I've been trying so many methods and it keeps going back to yelling, my husband goes straight to spanking which I don't mind because that's his way of parenting and it's usually always Last Resort when he doesn't listen to me, like right now if I ask him to do something he'll do it and he listens but it's just of course when he's busy or he's occupied with something that I keep getting ignored, I yell loud to get his attention and then go back down to lower voice. But I only started doing that when my doctor told me that I needed to take it easy and so I haven't really been going and sitting next to him and talking to him like I usually do

@mother.of.3, yeah definitely should kids love music and we try to make it fun while she cleans to we do like clean up your toys fast before the musics stops makes her run and literarily gets it done in minutes 😊 helps them too! I try to involve our 3 year old in everything even doing dishes cooking or things she can help me with if she wants she even trys to help me mop I have to re do it but if Its gonna make it fun for her oh well!!!!!! And she loves it and with the new baby is gonna be here I think it’s helping her not feel jealous of the new baby gonna be here!

that's definitely what I want him to do as well I just want to wait for at least 3 for him to be able to get more involved but he does watch me do some of those things it's just the whole cutting off like if he's washing a spoon it takes like 5 minutes to get him away from it lol

@mother.of.3, yeah that’s the difficult part of it is that they wanna wash one thing forever it gets frustrating 🤣 yeah I’ve experienced that. Now I just like give me that and wash this now🤣

I use a lot of these tips from books I have read and classes I’ve taken and helps to understand little kids a lot cause they’re learning and we’re learning how to be parents to these little babes!!! It’s not easy!
