Had to punish/spank my almost 3 year old for yet again pushing her little brother and giving him a knot of his forehead. This is the second knot hes had because she keeps pushing him. And to make things worse it's in the same spot she gave him the last knot! She picked up this habit from her cousin, and now I cant get her to stop. Last time she pushed my son off the scooter and he hit the tile face first (1st knot) and just 30 mins ago she pushed him again and pulled his shirt he lost his balance and he hit the side wood of the kitchen nook. Any advice to try and get her to stop pushing her baby brother???
Time out for 5 mins, not letting use the tablet all day. No tv! Putting her to bed. Talking to her telling her it's not nice to push her brother. And how he hurt him. I showed her his knot and told her he hurt him, she felt bad. But yet she continues to do it. Right now! Shes been laying in bed after being in time out for 5 mins, and she just went to sleep. Which workout because she usually naps at this time.
It's not play pushing tho, she pushes him hard enough to were he doesnt have time to catch himself. My son is not even 2 yet, and his balance is terrible. I've tried talking to her, telling that's not nice. To say sorry and apologize! Like when he was on the scooter she just pushed him off. And I dont Resort to immediate spanking. But this is the second knot if her brothers head, she knows what shes doing my daughter is a very smart girl, I've done it all. My son stopped breathing for a few seconds his whole face turned red.. so yes I spanked my daughter because she knows better.
I would have done the SAME thing. She IS almost 3, what else have you tried doing? Taking anything away? Time out? A day long “grounding”(I mean that like she’s not to have anything fun or do anything fun no playing no tv no nothing for like a day or the rest of the day depending on when it starts)
My girls push each other and I have a 4.5 year old. It takes a lot of repetition and time in asking them what a gentle touch is and how to ask nicely. I wouldn’t resort to spanking Bc this behavior takes time to work through. I mean, more than likely she’s just pushing to get somewhere first not to intentionally hurt him?? Have to teach them to slow down and think of how their actions hurt others
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .
Before you have your first child, you have these grand ideas of what it will be like. There’s more slee...
Preggies,
Today, we are deeply saddened by the news that @Martinajjones' baby, Jason Andrew Colley, was born early and passed away. He was born today, on his father's birthday, at 34 weeks, weighing 4 pounds 7 ounces and 17 inches long. @Martinajjones has been a strong member of this community since January. We are so sad for her loss, and her family's, and our thoughts go out to her.
You can message the family on this post, if you would like to add your condolences.

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
Is there something that triggers her anger before she strikes? Maybe you can get ahead of it by trying to find her triggers to prevent it a bit. Like as an example if she gets angry easier when it’s nap time, making sure she doesn’t stray off of her nap schedule. Or my toddler gets hangry so I have to keep snacks in my purse. It’s normal for them to go through phases like these and while not fun at all, know it will pass as you remain consistent. I would avoid spanking if possible though just so you can practice gentle hands as a rule in the house so she will too.
